Hello! With Coutinho and James Rodriguez looking for escape and United (maybe) looking for another creative midfielder, have we shown any interest in them, even if it's a loan?

I hope not, neither of the them are what we need.

Actually I think either would be a decent alternative to Grealish if indeed Utd are looking for a creative AM/ LW (as they seem to be) . But recent history with these types of players isn't great. At least with a loan there is no obligation.

We need a player like them but I'd be sceltical about signing either, particularly Coutinho.

I will take Eje of QPR for creative side squad depth, Looks promising and will be good in rotation without demanding much bigger role.

That's why I asked the eds for information, I didn't find any in the "search engine", Especially if Barcelona and Real want to loan them. Exactly, if United don't sign Grealish, James and Coutinho are alternatives, if available on loan, because in today's market + "United's tax", I really don't know what Barcelona and Real would want for them. Even though, I think they will be useful if we get one of them.

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to go into the finances but you should be able to easily find a response about JR.}

The rumoured deal for James is €25m and ed has said on other threads about Coutinho a loan fee of €30m with a €50m buy option however he also said teams would look to a reduction in this.

Personally if the fee I saw for James is accurate and his wages aren't extortionate I would look to him I don't rate grealish especially for the fee and it looks like we are committing our major spend to Sancho. Hopefully with a few sales we can commit to signing another midfielder someone with an eye for a pass.

Thanks, ed002 and Dbrooks90. Absolutely no way 80m for Grealish. 50m at max. If Villa stick with the insane price, why not James or Coutinho. After all, they are better players than Lingard and Pereira :)

James is not what we need. We already have one.

James Rodriguez certainly wouldn't be my first choice. But at that reported fee if he is sensible with wages demands they he would be a better option than Grealish for 80m.

Both can be very good on their day and under the right circumstances could excel in the premier league. If it were a case of signing one of them or signing nobody, I think they could do a job for us, but there are plenty of players I’d hope that the club will be looking at ahead of them.
