Any truth in a Juve swap deal - Smalling and Bernardeschi? It would suit us, Bernardeschi is a quality left-footed player. Plus we'll offload a defender.

{Ed002's Note - Federico Bernardeschi (RW/AM) A Barcelona move was rejected in January but he will be available in the summer. Bernardeschi's opportunities have been in decline on the RW and he has had to play out of position which has not worked out. Milan have dropped prior interest whilst both Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are not interested in any exchange deals involving him. Player wants to stay in Turin or would be open to a move to London - which will see him offered to Chelsea as part of a trade for Jorginho and/or Emerson or to Manchester United for Pogba. Chelsea's interest will take in to account Willian signing a new contract but a move to Chelsea is very unlikely. As for an exchange for Smalling, I know nothing of it. If it were to happen then it removes the need for Sancho, who without doubt is the preferred choice.}

I agree that there is sense in Jorginho/ Bernardeschi swap. But let me disagree that if we sign Sancho, there is still a need of another RW. If we want to compete we have to have at least 2 players in a position. Rash/ James, Martial/ Mason/ Ighalo, Sancho/?, Bruno/ Lingard. I know some players can play at Rw, but it's not the same when their natural position isn't there.

Ziko87 you sneaked Lingard in there HaHa . if we sign Sancho and Fernandes needs a rest or can’t play than Sancho can play in the hole and Greenwood on the right. Lingard can fetch their water for them if he likes.

Yes, I said somewhere that Sancho can play CAM too. But I sneaked Lingard there, because of the feeling I have for about 2-3 days, that he'll stay another year. Even if it's to carry the balls.

Lingard should stay, it will be his finally year at Old Trafford and he will get a nice big contract from his next team.

Bernardeschi is a good player, but the one I'd want I'd Merih Demiral. He looks like he will be a top CB.
