Sky reporting we're interested in David Alaba alongside Chelsea.

Would make way too much sense to sign him, doubt it's true.

Forget about Sancho, put all our focus on Alaba if there is any chance of signing him.

But I doubt he would join us.

Alaba is an excellent player. He can play LB, CM and CB which are all positions where we need quality. He would be an excellent signing but I'd guess he'd end up at City if he was to end up in the Premier League. He'd probably be first choice at CB or LB for them, he's worked with Pep previously and at the moment he has more chance of winning the big trophies there.

Denials are out already and Christian falk whos a well known German reporter with ties to bayern says it’s not true. Made too much sense for us really we wouldn’t be that smart.

Sorry but I think we need a special-ist centre back not jack of all trades. He is a good player no doubt and a great squad player but we need to get the very best we can for whichever position we need filling.

He is beeter than Luke Shaw if not better than all defenders at utd.

Alaba is a fantastic player and would slot straight into the eleven (at left back for me) . I can’t see it happening though. His age doesn’t fit the recent profile of our signings.

Alaba is a special-ist LB. He has been one of the best LBs in the world for the past decade. On top of that he is very good at CB and also can play in Midfield. So I think he isn't a "jack of all trades" and is more of master of many trades.

Alaba has been a starting CB for much of this season for a team that has done the domestic double and is in the CL semis.
That is quite an achievement by a "jack of all trades"
