Reports from Spain that Messi has asked to leave Barcelona.
And that United are best positioned to sign him.

Must be lazy journalism. But I would love to see him in EPL.

Realistically what clubs could afford him?

I think he's a year or two too young for the MLS.

Us, City, Chelsea, PSG, Juventus and Inter are probably the ones who may afford him but this year, who knows?

He obviously has somewhere lined up. My guess would be City.

Messi could only go to City or Chelsea if he came to the Prem. And the link up with Pep is obvious. United are struggling to find £100m for Sancho so no way we would commit to the £1.5m a week wages Messi is allegedly on. No matter how many shirts he would sell etc.

City are the only real club who could take him for me.

Chelsea are busy building a good attacking young team by the looks of it.
PSG will have less appeal - Messi will want some continued personal glory too on the European stage surely - hasn't happened for Neymar or Mbappe in the weaker French league, and one of them is logically sold if he were to join.
Juve - allegedly have no money and the small matter of Ronaldo already in the side.
Bayern - not their style to go for the biggest galactico of them all.
Real - obviously assuming a move to Madrid wouldn't be countenanced (though Figo played for both) .
Liverpool - don't have the money.

I'd be amazed if he left Barcelona but at 33 maybe now is the time for a new challenge! I hope he moves would love to see him at another Club.

Love how Neymar is the go-to third best player after the big two. I’ve been utterly unconvinced by him repeatedly. Yet again in the CL final he was rolling around yelling and looking grumpy every time I saw him.
De Bruyn is for me no.3 in the world.

Can anyone really see Messi living in Manchester? I guess I could see London I suppose, but surely Paris would be a more attractive location, although not sue ethey can afford him.

Ed047 sometimes when I read what’s written by the so called ‘media’ I think any one of us could be journalists. Some stories have zero sources or facts just conjecture, so basically just make it up and see what happens.
