Eds seen on BBC gossip today cuty are weighing up a bid for Messi. Do you know if there is veracity to this or is it click bait?

I am just wondering the sort of finances involved in such a deal for Messi?

Be a great brooks back up lol!

{Ed002's Note - They are one of the clubs that could take him. You are on the wrong page to discuss any detail.}

I can see strong forces behind the scenes looking at this. Adidas would kill to get him to us and sell Adidas Messi shirts for what would inevitably be the biggest shirt sales for a player in history.

Messi to united are you kidding when you have Ed Woodward a guy who couldn’t close a book and a puppet as a manager in Ole a guy who just accepts it when they hardly ever get any of their targets why would Messi want to come to a circus like that.

United couldn`t get to Sancho's asking price, let's keep it simple united cannot afford Messi.

Perhaps Dortmund’s stubbornness regarding Sancho could work in our favor here. If Messi’s lawyers are able to argue that the season being extended should mean the clause in his contract is also extended (it was originally set to expire ten days after the date that the Champions league final which the timing suggests will be their argument) and he can be signed for nothing, it would be a great bit of business for any club even with his insane wages.

That said, I think if he goes anywhere it will be to City. Perhaps had Chelsea not acted so quickly in the market they might have been an option.
