Didn't make great reading to be honest. But if we can get Sancho and reguilon in, I'd be delighted with that window.

It would be great to get another CB in too but I think that's asking too much. Although should rojo, Jones and smalling all be moved on, there might be space and most importantly, money to do it.

Although there was a long held interest in Van De Beek, I never thought he'd come in unless pogba moved on. But I guess it might have been too good a deal to pass up on.

Agree with that angelred if we got those 3 it would be an amazing window. No doubt people will complain that we didn’t sign more but in the current climate those 3 players would be great additions and the squad would be looking a lot better.

Real Madrid are trying to recover the losses due to C. V. They have even pushed back on 5heir plans for significant investment on player purchase. In short, Real Madrid are in a bit of trouble financially, angel.

Also RM have Ferland Mendy and Marcelo at LB. So they can sell Reguilon to bring in some money. The reports saying they want to insert a buyback clause in his contract indicates that they see him as a player with decent potential.

Real Madrid have Ferland Mendy who looks a fantastic player, while Marcelo is still at the club and is one of the few older senior heads in the squad. Real Madrid have no need for a third LB.

We have a similar issue at RB, AWB, Dalot, Williams and Laird. I expect Dalot will lose out. A very good player, but 4 into 1 doesn't go.

The fact Real Madrid want a buy back clause with Reguilon highlights that they have a long term plan for him. Probably when Marcelo leaves. They need money now though, so sell a player and inserting a buy back clause works very well for them. They get the money, but don't necessarily lose the player long term.

I would have concerns that if that was the case then we could lose a good player on the cheap in a couple of years time.

Yes shappy, a buy back clause isn't ideal. We either look to have that removed or it will be for a significant fee. I wouldn't be against that because if in a few years he has delivered for us, it's likely Madrid would come calling again anyway.
