Rumours of a potential Ronaldo/ pogba swap?! Surely not? Although it does sound like a deal we would do. Full of sentimentality and marketing potential but makes very little football sense. Ps I love Ronaldo just think we need better long term planning🤷‍♂️.

the club done operate on football sense.

the money it would make them means it would be a no brainier.

tbf he could still do a job up front for 2 or 3 years.

CR7 is the type of player a team is built around. He’s too old for that to be viable.
I say that boat has long since sailed, be proud of what he and the club did for each other and move on.
The End.

Ronaldo will demand a lot from our players.
His dedication and attitude could bring the best out of many of our players.

CR7's age of 36 is equivalent to 30 of other footballers due to the way he maintains his fitness.

Will break our wage structure adn very short term. Great player, but no thank you.

I would take Emile Heskey as a swap just to get rid of Pogba.

I loved Ronaldo when he was here, I have admired him since he left.

But Ronaldo is our past now, and we need to focus on our future. We also need to be careful that we don't become a retirement home, a place for the big names to go for one last big pay day. Zlatan first and now Cavani, a third time and it becomes a trend.

RLF,

We have a wage structure?

Would certainly have more of an impact and could definitely do a job for a few seasons.

{Ed0666's Note - A manager with balls and Ronaldo for 2 years would be exactly what Man United need right now.

I would take him in a flash. Proven winner, great work ethic and attitude, the player of his generation, an icon. He would improve every player in the squad.

10.) 13 Dec 2020
13 Dec 2020 18:34:07
And still better than anything we have in our squad.

the Juve medical team tested him after recovering from C.V., he basically had the body of a 25 year old. He's got more muscle and is faster than before C.V.! C.V. is a wonder fuel I think.

So a soon to be 36 year old, who while at one time was arguably the best player in the world, but has declined significantly since then. Is still better than anything we have in our squad. Yet this squad is 2 or 3 players away from winning the title?

Shappy, Ronaldo is a phenom, he may have declined but he is far superior than a lot of players in our squad.

{Ed0666's Note - I think he’s far superior than anyone on you’re team

Shappy, Ronaldo (and Messi) are light years ahead of any other players of this generation so yes, he probably is better. Imagine a couple of top signings and Ronaldo’s drive and mentality, the impact would be huge.

Can’t see it happening though.

Yes Shappy. Once again you’re making random comparisons to suit your bias. Often two things can be true, especially when the two things you mention are completely unrelated.

If this swap deal has any chance of going through we should be doing everything to make it happen.

It’s a chance to bring in a winner who will score 20 goals a season, and at the same time remove an absolute liability from our club and let the door hit him on the back side on the way out.

It’s a no brainer.

Ronaldo would transform the team. People need to stop waffling and talkin abt hia age. Ronaldo can go on until he is 38 39 easily and perform at a better level then anyone in our team.

Our main problem is Ole get rid of him and we have half our issue sorted.

Do we really have to keep taking about Shappy's bias? Feels like an episode of Jerry Springer.
