Question for Ed002, if you're around.

You mentioned recently that we may look to a more experienced striker like Benzema this summer as a stop gap of sorts and I was wondering if Aguero may be an option in that regard.

Reports today are suggesting that he wants to stay in the Premier League and would consider offers from Chelsea or Spurs. I'm aware of the animosity between United and City, but surely we could afford to pay more than either club, can all buy guarantee Champion's League football next season and our Manchester location means that he wouldn't have to relocate his family half way across the country.

Have we or he expressed any interest in making a deal?

{Ed002's Note - No, Aguero won't be moving to Manchester United.}

Shame, Aguero and DDG are good friends and he would have been a nice stop gap for us.

There is a good chance neither of them will be in Manchester come the start of next season.

I wouldn't be surprised to see both back in Spain next year. If DDG does want to go, let's hope we don't make the same mistake as we did with Romero.

Romero is very handsomely paid to sit on a bench every week.

Still got that sinking feeling that Giroud is a candidate in this area. A scorer of great goals, but not a great scorer of goals, and you get the feeling Tuchel will be bringing in his own CF this summer (maybe Aguerro) .

{Ed077's Note - Giroud isnt a bad player for me. He would be a decent back up option but I am starting to think we need a starting ST.

Aguero to Chelsea? Improbable IMO.}
