Hi Ed, with Nuno leaving Wolves, it’s been reported that Neves would be available for a fairly reasonable fee. Any chance United could look to him if Matic leaves? Much cheaper than Rice.

{Ed002's Note - Why would Wolves sell Neves at a lower price than they value him at because the coach has left? Ruben Neves (DM/CM) Wolves would look to get as close to €50M as they can should circumstances dictate Neves is sold, but they certainly don't want to sell. Mr Mourinho is a huge fan and has tried to take himn to three different clubs in the past - and he would, I am sure be interested in taking him to Roma. He has always been seen as an option to replace Matic at Manchester United, but they have other priorities to deal with first and preferred options.}

Much depends on the financial situation of the club (Wolves) and of that of the main shareholders, I guess.
Chinese companies also suffered heavily during the last year or so.
Inter Milan owners are a case in point.

{Ed002's Note - Rubbish - if you don't have anything useful to say or you are ignorant of the matter - why not just leave it alone.}

Think Wolves are okay financially. Even though they made a £40million loss during C.V. they have increased their financing with the Macquarie Group from £50m to £75m.
I think because of the TV money swilling around clubs these days, the need to sell to balance the books is not as prominent as it once was.
Also with Wolves you have to understand the influence of Jorge Mendes at the club, hence why Bruno Lage looks like being their next manager. Its unlikely that Mendes will move on one of his best players unless a stupid offer comes in.

Thank you GrimisnotDead for your clarification. I had based my assumptions on certain reports in the media, which it seems were wrong.

Thank you Ed for the answer, on my part I think 50m is reasonable. I was comparing to Declan Rice say, who it has been reported West Ham will ask 80-90m for (I don't know how accurate that is), I assume he is one of the preferred options.

{Ed002's Note - Right.}

Widely reported today that Neves will be sold to fund a rebuild.
£35 million is figure mentioned and I think that is at at the top end of his market value.
I personally don't think he is good enough for a top 4 club.

Definitely a no from me, if your chasing City and want to compete with Liverpool and Chelsea Neves doesn't take you up to that next level.
Kane, Rice, Sancho and a centre back.
If we get all 4 i think we can challenge for the prem next season.
