Any truth in James to Leeds?

Sensible move for him. Looks like the club are betting on Diallo being a decent option of the bench. Atleast it ensures he gets some game time.

I think James will improve under Bielsa who I think is an excellent manager.

I like Dan James, he has the right attitude and can be a useful player. The issue is his game currently isn't diverse enough to play every week for a side expected to challenge for honours.

Rashford, Sancho, Martial and Greenwood will all be ahead of him. While Amad and Pellistri will soon be challenging, along with Elanga and Shoretire.

He is still young and with a proper coach should improve a lot. I would loan but not with option to buy but option of first refusal if we later decide to sell.

James is a winger with zero moves. Amad has far more potential.

We can't just keep buying players someone has to go to make room for amad and sancho. Looks like Jesse and James will be the firsts that leave to make space.
If we sign a rb and a cb you will probably see tuanzebe and Dale make way while Williams will go on loan i'd imagine.
The squad is pretty much set then with the 2 real question marks over the will he stay or go pogba and keeper selection.
If he goes we will sign someone to replace him i guess.

‘His game isn’t diverse enough’ is a polite way of saying he isn’t good enough Shappy, nothing about him suggests he ever will be. Good lad, works hard, puts the effort in defensively, as you say is not and will never be good enough for a team challenging for titles.

The media and pundit love in for him is unbelievable in my opinion, at the Euro’s he was being talked about like he had a stormer every game, whereas he just ran fast with no end product as always.

Dan was excellent in the Turkey game, he just needs to develop his end product.

GDS, he has explosive pace which is a huge asset, he also has a great attitude, works hard and is keen to learn and develop.

If he can develop his all round game so he is less of a one trick pony then he could be a very good player.

I don't think he has world class ability or potential. However, not everyone of our players needs to be world class. All our success over the past 30 years has been underpinned by hard working talented squad players who are able to come in a do a job but are content enough to not start every game.

I think if James can develop his game he could become one of those players. They are vital and rarely get the credit they deserve, but few teams win things without a few of them in the squad.
