Rumours are cooling on Camavinga.
Apparently prefers a move to Spain or PSG (as Ed002 has said) .

Utd also looking to add a third signing after Varane.

I hope this leads to Saul.

Saul, Varane and Sancho would be a huge upgrade.

Well with Heaton and Sancho agreed, and with Varane or at least one CB looking very likely that gives us three signings.

I'd imagine a fourth will very much depend on out goings and I doubt it'll be a hugely expensive signing, probably around the 20-35m price range after spending 70m on Sancho and around 50m on a CB.

Could be a RB, or a CM.

Heaton doesn't count.

Heaton is probably a third choice GK. He is likely to never make a first team appearance at 35 similar to Lee Grant.
So I don't count him as a signing.

Surely the price range of any potential third signing depends on outgoings?

Let's say 70m ish on Sancho and 50m ish on a CB. £120m looks like quite a lot, but if we were to sell, for example: DDG, Lingard, Bailly/ Lindelof, Dalot, Perreira and hopefully Jones, that could easily be 70-100m in sales, maybe even more if we're lucky.

Spending another 50-60m on a CDM type doesn't seem so unrealistic after that. Especially if we then move on Pogba, Fred or Donny.

Shappy I agree that 20-35 m seems a good call but get the feeling it may well be that sort of figure to extend pp contract- do hope i'm wrong though.

Of course Heaton counts, did Grant or Romero not count? Did Telles not count?

Just because a player is signed for a squad role that doesn't mean they don't count.

Also I wouldn't be surprised to see one of DDG or Henderson leave this summer, which would make Heaton our No.2 keeper. He might play more often than you think.

Thorne, I don't think it works like that. Maybe on FIFA you can sell players to bolster your transfer kitty. But in the real world both of the signings of Sancho and any CB we sign will have been calculated on a number of outgoings and a certain about of income.

With Varane or a similar 50m signing at CB that would bring our spending to 123m not including the substantial "agents" fees which for Sancho alone is rumoured to be in the region of 40m.

The club has never really spent more than 150m in one window, regardless of how much they receive from outgoing transfers.

Which means to match our biggest summer spend we would be looking at around 25-30m on any additional signings.

Considering all the financial pressures all clubs are under currently I highly doubt we'll see more than 150-160m in total spent.

Isn't Saul off to Barcelona now.

Grim that's what I'm hearing. With Greasyman going the other way apparently.

I think the Greizmann/ Saul swap actually makes a lot of sense.

Barcelona have signed Depay and Aguero so have less of a need for Greizmann who has never quite fit in to that Barcelona side. While with Pjanic presumably on his way out and Busquests not getting any younger, a player like Saul makes a lot of sense for them.

Atletico on the other hands want to get Saul's large long term contract off the wage bill and are in need of a forward. Griezmann having previously been there ticks all the boxes with the comfort of knowing that he will be a success as he previously was.
