A good move for all parties involved. Hopefully we can also find decent loan moves for Pellestri, Williams and Garner and sort out some permanent deals for Dalot, Jones, Andreas, James and Lingard. Then there’ll just be the Pogba saga to deal with.

Good move for him. He isn't going to get any minutes here this season with Maguire, Varane and Lindelof ahead of him. He needs game time to progress.

Red, Pellestri has already gone to Alaves.

Axel will be 24 when he returns from the loan. His only way of progressing now is away from United, permanently.
Garner will either go back to Forest or I can see a few going to Derby on loan to help out Rooney.

He will be nearly 25. Sames as mctom these guys are coming into their prime years young axel is going to be like that young lingard lad.

Is he going to get enough game time at villa to make the loan worthwhile?

Well if he doesn’t what does that tell you about his ability?

He was on loan at Villa in 18/ 19 and played over 30 games for them, so hopefully he can pick up where he left off for them. His biggest issue is his injury record which would give big Phil a run for his money.

Tuanzebe was available for most of the season, December onwards. Ole just didn't play him.

That's right MH he continued to play an injured lingard who was having back pertinent and same with rashford he continued to play when unfit.

Eric79, the PSG game shows that he has the ability but unfortunately injuries haven't helped his progress as much as everyone expected.

I agree with the others that much like a few other players he was also overlooked by Ole even when there was an opportunity to play him.

I see your point LPU, but that game was over 2 years ago and frankly he’s done nothing since but be injured.

Eric79,

It was not 2 yrs ago, around 10 months ago he returned from a 10 month injury layoff to play against PSG and delivered a very good performance.

Yeah my bad - still doesn’t change the fact he’s had 2 good games for the club in his career.

Yes, he came back, played well, then back on injured list again. Everyone wants these fringe players to play well, to make the difference. But reality is that they need to take their chances.

Axel needs games at a good level. Villa loan is good for him. See what he can do, maybe he has found his level, maybe he shows what we are missing.

Eric79, injuries have certainly hampered any progress he would have made.

A loan move would suit all concerned and would help us move him on permanently if he does well.
