After reading info from Cheshire, not sure if he’s what we need right now.

Would not be surprised if we start talks today with Ruben Neves after the game.
We can loan with Mejbri or Elanga too as part of the deal. Elanga to me is ready for PL games.

Why would we? Neves hasn't been particularly good over the last 18 months.

Apparently Wolves didn't want Amad on loan because it made little sense to them developing a player for someone else. For this reason to cannot see them going for Elanga or Mejbri.

Neves was doing really well. I think he is a good player. But in the last 18 mints he lost his regular pace in the wolves team and the Portugal team. So something is amiss. Perhaps he needs a move to reignite a bit like martial.

I think he just stagnated a little.

To be fair the whole Wolves team did. Traore had a great season that made him look like he was about to become world class and was breaking into the Spanish national team, then last year back to square one.

Connor Coady was poor, as was Podance. Raul Jimenez got injured, Jota and Doherty had left and Neto looked to be carrying the side until his injury.

Neves, Dendoncker and Moutinho all saw their form suffer a dip.

While Nuno didn't quite seem his self.

Neves was a key component in the Wolves side that brushed everyone aside in the Championship, then took the EPL by storm qualifying for Europe.

Unfortunately the whole team seemed to run out of steam along with two key departures and a couple of key players getting injured.

However, even with Neves having a poorer than usual season he was still the only midfielder to make over 60 tackles AND over 60 interceptions. He still made the second most passes of any midfielder into the final third in the EPL, including the most accurate "long passes" of any midfielder in the league last season.

His ability to hit accurate 50-60 yard passes switching play with his first touch is unmatched in the league. If you want to quickly open a team up by playing out from the back then there isn't a better midfielder in the league.

He's the sort of player who does the defensive work you need, but also makes your forward players look better by giving them better passes in more dangerous areas quicker.
