Dan James off to Leeds. But a loan deal only, outright transfer or part of a deal for Kalvin Phillips? Know we've looked at Phillips previously but seemingly moved on to other targets?

A few places suggesting it’s permanent. I’d prefer it that way if it increases our chances of signing a midfielder, but would take a loan. Not sure he’ll ever be United quality, but he’ll improve dramatically under Bielsa. Can see him notching 15 goals/ assists for them this season.

I think MH probably knew that and still didn’t agree. Diogo Dalot has completed more dribbles this season than Dan James, he’s played 1 minute.

Maybe so, but despite his work ethic being great, he is lacking at the top level. Much of that has been due to poor coaching, since he has joined the club. I don't think he has progressed at all.

Dan Jamesss is like Walcott. Lots of pace but no end product. Infact i'd say Walcott was better then him.

He didn't even look that quick recently. I know he gets "clocked" as one of the fastest players, but with my eyes I rarely look at him running next to a full back and think WOW he's fast.
