Wow, I can't believe it's actually over for OGS. Are the Eds able to provide an update on who will be in the frame to replace OGS in both the short and long term?
Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

{Ed002's Note - Carrick and Fletcher will take training and be responsible for the team until someone is found.}

Expect they’ll wait until after the Arsenal game to bring somebody in now. I think in an ideal world they’d have waited till then to sack Ole, but after yesterday’s game that really wasn’t an option.

Fingers crossed we’re still in the champions league by the time the new manager is in place.

Thank you Ed.

Two additional managers now being touted by the media:

Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui

Laurent Blanc

Though only credible when Ed002 says so.

{Ed002's Note - Lopetegui was a disaster at Real Madrid and seems an unlikely option. Laurent B would have been a good option when OGS was appointed. I suspect MU will look to persuade Zidane (but he wants another job) or look to finding someone to see the season out and not be rushed in to making a decision.}

Diego Simeone is another one touted as an option.

After some of the performances of late those players need to take a long hard look at themselves. Maquire and Fernandes were unbelievably poor yesterday and no matter how bad the tactics/ instructions are its no excuse. i'd be worried as a fan when so many internationals can be made to look like clowns by such a poor side.
Happy that you all have your wish and Ole has gone. Will be interesting to see what the club decide as a solution moving forward. I know many of you don't have much faith in the guys upstairs and that's concerning. Carricks bemused face on the bench yesterday was a picture and I don't see him inspiring much of a change but Fletcher at least had a bit about him when he played and might get some fight into the players.
Surely thing can only get better.

ED001,

Would Rangnick be a good choice for an interim manager?

{Ed002's Note - I don't see why he Ralf Rangnick would leave his Director of Football job to take on a job at Manchester United for a few months.}

Thanks ED002. I forgot he had a job.

The idea is he comes in as manager then moves into direcror of football ed. i know i know we already have one but the club needs people from outside to fix the problems as those inside don't know how. i'm not sure but its sounds a good idea, i also think van der sar would be the best choice for ceo to replace woodward but don't known if ragnick and edwin would work well together.

{Ed002's Note - EvdS would be part of a package. The thought that MU could appoint him to someone else's job in the future is very odd.}

Ed, any considerations for Wenger?

{Ed002's Note - As what?}

We get, seriously? Just a WUM?

Ed, do you think Pochettino in summer is now the most realistic outcome? Seems to make the most sense. Given that we’ve actually sacked ole, is there still no chance of him being replaced by Zidane mid season?

{Ed002's Note - I think the most desired solution but not the most likely.}

Ed, Zidane most likely?

{Ed002's Note - There is no “most likely” at this point. I have explained Zidane wants another job.}

Ed, is Brendan Rogers a realistic target or is that just nonsense?

{Ed002's Note - It is what I have previously explained.}
