Ed, any truth to the rumours that United have approached Inter Milan for CB Bastoni?

{Ed002's Note - Alessandro Bastoni (CB) First choice for Barcelona, but Inter don't want to sell although €70M might be enough for Inter to part with him as they look to cut the wage bill. Bayern Munich have a declared interest and see him has an option to others as they look to add two CBs, but they know the player wants to stay in Milan. Real Madrid are keen but he is not top of their list. Spurs certainly offer an option whilst Conte and Paratici are at the club. Chelsea and Manchester United have watched him but have preferred targets.}

Hi Ed,

Are United looking at any other defenders in case Torres and Timber don't happen? YOu'd mentioned earlier that Timber would like to move to City instead of United. Is that still his preference?

Ed, do you think Bernard will move on permanently or on another loan? He had a good season at hull apparently and seen West Ham linked to him. Could be a chance for us to raise some funds.

Ah, fair enough Ed! Was hoping to get a few quid for him, but I guess he was playing for a mid to bottom half side in the championship.
