Ajax apparently contacted United advising Arsenal have bid £35m for Martinez. Clearly no issue with him going but want a bidding war.

Maybe, or maybe United and Ajax have a good relationship and United have asked to be kept informed.

Fair play to Ajax. Great relationship of course. But they want to get maximum value for their player. So it can be both!
