Sentiment

Someone said earlier that SAF doesn't do sentiment, however say no more than the word Giggs. Is our best team one that includes a 39 year old formerly good winger, does our manager really believe that Giggs can play 90 minutes against top opposition and part of that in central midfield? Sentiment or poor decision making, you choose.

Ok we have already won the league may have lost a bit of edge but we are looking for some class, for some quality football to show we are worthy champions against our major rivals. The thing is we haven't played much quality football all season and played even less today.

It was disappointing that we turn up and our team didn't, how about entertaining the crowd and actually trying to play. There were some today that actually should be playing their last game, Anderson being one.

Our CEO insightfully said we can field two teams full of internationals well maybe we can but neither would have a midfield good enough. Take Carrick out and we were a mess, Cleverley given his chance couldn't dominate or drive a midfield, Anderson just flatters to deceive and it has to be said that Valencia has been very poor. Add Giggs to that mix and we were lucky it was only one nil.

I hope SAF has at least one quality midfield player on his wish list otherwise next season will be a painful one. Are we really expected to accept that dross, did we even manage a shot in the second half? Does anyone care that we would like to see some football?

It was a miracle to win the league with that midfield, it needs major surgery and a retooling, centrally and wide Mr Woodward note.

Not solely based on this post, but you really are a joke. At least kloot can be funny, you're just really annoying. You need to get a grip!

Keep the posts coming red man, you are only giving your views. And in my opinion, you are being honest in your appraisal of our team. If no one else sees the difference between us and the top European teams then our optimistic fans, our manager, the owners and the players are going to get a wake up call next year.

No midfield

Thanks I am not put off by personal comments and like you I have seen it all but started a couple of years later in 68. I don't do false optimism, I do reality and some who have only known success need a reality check sometimes.

And those of us, Red Man, who have also known failure and mediocrity, need to appreciate every success we have, don't you think?
