Neil Warnock has tipped Wilfried Zaha to be a huge hit for Manchester United next season.

I'm worried we might have bought a duff one now.

What's wrong with Neil Warnock?

As somebody who has grown up in Bury, Neil Warnock isn't the smartest guy after what he did to Bury FC!

I'll expand a little. I tend to be wary of self-proclaimed 'characters' in football.

For a man who rarely troubles the rarefied heights of the EPL, his sense of self-esteem is undiminished. That's because - it's always the referee's fault.

The man is full of trite little digs at anyone and everyone, who he feels has affected his team's performances over the years, without having the humility to possibly look at his own shortcomings.

He showed a nasty, spiteful side during a fall-out with Stefan Henchoz. I'll be generous and describe his attitude during that spat, as being, 'Little Englander'. Others might be less kind and consider it slightly racist.

He's fallen out with any manager who's actually ever won anything of meaning in England - men with far greater managerial talent than Warnock could ever hope to possess.

I'm sure he's a loving husband, father and grandfather, but in the world of football, he's only ever come across as being crass, boorish and cheap.

But hey, maybe he's just a bit of a card, eh?

Anon,

I think Stevie's comment was tongue in cheek. What is it with people not getting sarcasm on this site?!

SteveK I think we all know Warnock is a prat but it doesn't invalidate his opinion of a players potential.

Ah well I like Warnock, maybe that's purely because i'm from Sheffield
