Fellaini and Baines are on the bench tonight. Apparently the commentator said that they were both supposed to start. Didn't think much of it until I heard someone mention that they would be cup tied if they play tonight.

I hardly think that being cup-tied in the Capital One Cup would prevent any deal going ahead. do you?

I do not think it matters too much if they are cup-tied from the League Cup, but will be slightly interesting to see if they are brought on.

I would assume Man United would be overly happy with it. What if we got to the final and can't even play 2 starters? Anyway I was just speculating why jr

No, It wouldn't, Timbo, but if you knew the players were all but gone, the right thing to do would not needless render them ineligible for a competition, however trivial in the grand scheme of things it is.
