Did anyone see how Fellaini played tonight?

I didn't see the match but have seen highlights. He played a lovely through ball in the build up to the 1st goal and had what was described by tv sport as an imperious performance. So it sounds as if he did pretty well! :)

I watched the whole game and I don't know where that description came from. He did little to catch the eye. Witsel looked like the more controling influence in midfield.

Interestingly, the Belgian coach clearly doesn't seem to see him as a defensive midfielder. Witsel played deeper and controlled the game.

He always puts in a good shift and did last night.

Hes a good solid midfielder and will give the presence we have lacked allowing carrick to concentrate on his long balls in which we are missing. With Carrick supplying them again and support from the wings its all good and plenty of supply for RVP, Roo and Welbeck.

People need to stop saying he's not as good as Fanregas and Ozil etc, he's not like them and was bought for a totally different role. We have Kagawa to be the creative midfielder so we are pretty much covered as we are with Clevs and Ando as back up so we are good!
