Whereas i feel sorry for DDG as his head must e all over the place this morning the whole situation is a win win for us. Either we get the cash and a keeper that LVG likes or we get to keep a world class keeper for another season.
Utd haven't done anything wrong and Rm have conceded that they are the ones in error. RM have waited all summer for Utd to capitulate and to let DDg go on the cheap and when they finally realised that they were dealing with a club that was prepared to stand up to them they have had to come to the table and do a deal that we were happy with.
Fair play to Woody and LVG for standing firm and its good to see RM with egg on their faces for once. If the deal doesn't go through i know that some posters will be saying better £18m now rather than in 12 months time but if DDG performs at his best and helps us to finish top 3 then he would have earned that money for us.
One final thought 12 months is along time in football so if RM don't get their man now whose to say that they may be so keen next year or whether DDg will be so keen to join them if they have cocked up this year.

Hey Allan, relatively impartial neutral here (Liverpool fan fascinated with what's going on in your club at the moment, it's also less depressing here than on our page).
I think the only way you win out of this is if DDG comes back into the team and is awesome this season. That's a big if. Worst case scenario is he doesn't play for you and you either lose him in January for a lot less money than you would have got or you lose him next summer for nothing.
Not saying this can't come good for you but describing what happened last night as 'win-win' is a stretch.
