How on earth did we not win that? It was rope a dope.

Our football was really good for much of the game and we looked like we had some good movement up front for a change but got caught twice. I do wonder if Shaw had been on whether they would have scored the second. On Shaw I wish him well and hope it was a clean break although it looked a twist as well which worries me. it is a great shame because he has been exceptional this season.

It has to be said that Mata had a shocker, an absolute shocker, recycling the ball to nothing and if he scores from 4 yards then it could and should have been so different. I felt sorry for Schweinsteiger who controlled possession for 80 mins, produced the ball of the match to Mata. Overall we actually played well.

One really irritating point was the utter glee of the commentator on BT counting down the minutes, really willing time to be up. For the last 20 mins he talked incessantly and keenly about how time was going, praying for the final whistle and us losing.

We can build on that, yes it will be uphill from here but there were positives.

Lastly i watched Martial and I saw that we may have someone who in time will be something very special.

i agree mate, I said down the page sometimes the stars align and things are just meant to be i guess, and tonight it was PSV that they shone on.

I agree on Martial too.

Still i'm sure there will be a few that buy into the narrative that B*sp**t were desperately trying to spin lol

Chris, I won't watch that channel again. I mean that. I'll stream the games from now on. They won't be getting my score a month. I have never heard such bad and biased commentary.

lol Sam, I agree.

They actually are getting some decent games now but they seem to think dumping a load of ex pro's together is the right idea.

The worrying thing is Savage is prob there best pundit (other than hoddle when he's on) and that says it all.

At one point Hargreaves actually said PSV didn't play well tonight, they got very lucky and didn't deserve that and the very next sentence he went on to say how we made them look decent.

we failed to beat a pretty average team we were very poor again in the last third and build up play was as predictable as usual too slow ,.with the posession we had we should of easily won that game but if you don't score you don't win
