It is a bit of a dig at LVG. Just read LVG is shocked and upset the players did not follow his instruction lol.

Don't you love it when we get it right he proclaims himself to be genius holds court in his press conferences and when it all goes wrong its the players fault. Not one bit of acknowledgement that i screwed up and that why i constantly make substitutions at half time.

I make you right. He could not have got it more wrong with his tactics and team selection.

I like the guy and think he is doing a decent job, but he has character flaws; there is no doubt about it.

I suspect that behind the scenes, he knows he got it wrong and will not repeat the same mistake again.

Actually SAF used to wait until 70 mins to make a substitution, it was almost metronomic. As for yesterday there should have been substitutions after 20 mins, even more so if they were not following his instructions

Finally SAF only ever admitted he made a mistake years later so in that aspect LVG is playing it the same. His midfield tactics and selection was still wrong mind you

The difference for me is that SAF, despite his flaws, always backed his players publicly. If the team played absolutely crap, he would blame the ref, the pitch, the weather, the fixtures or whatever came to mind. LVG has basically said, 'I did everything right, but my players let me down'. Very poor man management. The players will know they didn't play well, but will also know that the manager's tactics didn't work.

SAF earned the right to be a tool at times, this guy is simply just a tool.

Yesterday was a farce, mistake after mistake and our first real test of the season showed exactly how inept and exploitable his tactics are. One injury to the defence and we are all over the place. He keeps picking players irrespective of their performance, what message does that send to the squad?

He needs to accept some accountability, but like all ego maniacs he is never wrong.

Danny you forgot the kit that made players blend in with the crowd. Lol

Totally agree Beast. I could handle a 3 nil loss but we never had a chance with the team selection and tactics.
I know I'm the only one here, but we're making a big mistake allowing klopp to go to Liverpool, we should be sacking lvg now and getting klopp in.

Danny,

Interesting you put in quotation marks something that he didn't actually say lol.

We should not be sacking LVG now and getting Klopp in Schmid, what a crazy thing to say, what has klopp won to make you think he would be able to handle the pressure at United? He has never even managed in the premier league.

Obviously not down with the whole grammar thing GDS. a quotation mark is generally " . ". The ' . ' is generally used to paraphrase etc. But life long learning and all that eh?
