Pogba deal agreed €125m euros. Which I'm guessing the way the pound is going will be £125m by the time he kicks a ball for us lol.

Opinions divided I know re Pogba. Will he be here after 3 years? Will Mourinho for that matter.

Regardless he's a class player. Not the best by any means but certainly has talent and could be a world beater.

It's evidence that despite his rightful God-like status Fergie did make the occasional blunder. 2 of those look to have been rectified now though with Mourinho appointed and Pogba re-signing.

Please tell me you lumped on United at 6/ 1 for the league. We will be half that before it kicks off and I genuinely think Mourinho will make us into contenders. A big ask and red tinted specs to an extent for sure but how early doors we were 6/ 1 and City 6/ 4 is beyond me. 2 teams both finished same points and both with new managers.

Exciting times ahead.

Good player but i'm not sure its a mistake by fergy we offered him 40 k . ed told us he was always going .

He had his future mapped out juve was a stepping stone, his agent has pushed the price up every year.
Pogs gets 10 % ish of the transfer fee and still time for a few other moves.

Jred I think the eds have eluded to the fact that he was always going after the fall out with fergie with his agent choice. Now it may have been a blunder by sir Alex or not, but in my opinion the 40k capital not racy offer was a means to save face by the club and manager. It has since labelled him as a mecenary to many of our fans and personally I'm not sure that it is fair.

El paso ed said he was always going that's why he changed agents .

Jred if that was the order things happened then fair play. I was always under the impression from what I had read on here that the decision to leave came after Ferguson tried to choose his agent for him. If one of the eds could clarify the chronology that would be greatly appreciated.

I still think the mecenary tag is unfair on him even if he had his future mapped out. He did after all turn down almost a third more than what he originally got at juve when he left.

{Ed004's Note - It was a mistake on Fergusons part. I don't know the player but from reading posts from posters that know him or his family (Ed001) etc he's a very likeable person. I know people are saying the 100 million could be better off spent elsewhere on 3/4 players, however I feel Mourinho has specifically targeted four key signings so there doesn't take much integration and we hit the ground running. Any other players we target will hopefully be squad players to add depth such as Lozano (I know their club has denied it - just an example). Also think most of our dealings will be outgoings. Just hoping we keep Mata tbh. Also seeing people posts on the teams page. If we play Mensah, Smalling, Bailly and Shaw that is one hell of an athletic and powerful defense.}

El paso
Its what ed told us at the time.
I always thought fergy should of give him game time and try and change his mind to be honest .
But the lad has history he walked out on le harve, who where very vocal in condeming both united and the player . He then done the same at united and to be honest has been up for sale every year at juve .
So maybe he was always going to move

I think he might be one of them players who moves around a lot after the best deal . Nothing the matter with that tho.

Jred good point about Le Havre and it's fair to say he could be the next anelka. If he signed for the reported amount I could see him staying for 3 years and then moving on for at least 50m, which wouldn't be the worst bit of business by a club in recent memory. However, depending on our success whilst he is here, he could also stay for longer. Either way I don't see it as a bad choice by the club but would maybe prefer a more defensive minded cm as first choice to free up the likes of schneiderlin and Herrera. I am very glad I don't have to make these decisions as I'm sure I would get 90% of them wrong, once upon a time I thought mvilla would be a beast of a cm in the prem.
