Who do you lot think is going to be the man to replace Carrick when he goes then? He's been so important to us, and we need someone of the same mould to come straight in a do his job.

Personally i think it should be Toni Kroos as he is one of the only players i think is capable of doing it.

I think verratti would do a good job.

Deep lying midfielder. I would love toni kroos. Such an important part of Man utds success was down to having Paul Scholes there to control a game. Toni kroos for me is the best player in that position in world football.

I'd love to see him and herrera together.

Realistically tielemens or Carvalho. Don't think verrati will come to the PL and I think Kroos has just signed new contract.

I'd like to see Blind given a crack, he has adjusted to the league now. And his ability to control the tempo from deep along with his passing and good defensive instincts should do him well in a three man midfield.
In his first season the issue with him playing in midfield was a lack of pace or power as he was played alongside either Carrick or Fellaini in a two man midfield, or Herrera who himself was adapting to the league and was prone to push too far forward leaving Blind exposed. Now in a three with Herrera and Pogba I think he could do well. Although I'd like to see a more traditional DM in the Makelele mould come in for those tougher games. Maybe someone like William Carvalho or Bakayoko.

Is Kroos injured? He had not always been in Madrid 11 recently.

{Ed025's Note - he has been injured ken but is now back in training mate..

Carvalho for me. Thought he was very good during the euros and has the physical presence for the premier league.

wilshere as a deep play maker.

Decent call shappy and jred I like wilshere and am very fond of blind 😍.

Wilshere is ok when not on the dusty showbiz. I don't think he has the discipline for a proper deep lying midfielder though.

Wilshere not good enough. Has never developed into the player that was hoped.

He's at Bournemouth for a reason.

angle
yer he was brave enough to leave the easy life of a top team .
if he can stay fit he is a top player.

Brave enough? Or just not good enough to get in that arsenal team? I hear a different story coming from arsenal.

Even if he manages to stay fit, which he hasn't yet, I don't think he is good enough.

I think harry arter is the best CM at Bournemouth.

Kroos would be ideal for me, Blind can deputise if needed as he's so beautiful, did I say beautiful I meant versatile.

{Ed004's Note - Verratti in an ideal world but would he move to the premiership and would Mourinho sign someone who is 5 foot 5" to play in front of the defence? I wouldn't mind someone like Javi Martinez - could try to persuade him with a midfield role. Haven't gotten to watch Strootman much this year but apparently he has been decent and is a leader in midfield}

100% good enough imo and if he can stay fit will be a top player .
played 3 games last season due to injury great to see a young lad leave easy streat to get first team footy, after the injury its just what he needs .
lets see how he does but if he stay fit i think he will make you eat your words .
there is a reason arsenal never sold him.

I think he has always been a player that flatters to deceive.

He is a local boy, always hard to sell a local player with so much hope. But I believe that they were open to selling him.

Remember we all thought we were in with a chance of getting Javi Martinez, before he went to Munich? Think he'd be a great addition, Ed004. I know he's a decent defender, but he was born to play that midfield role.

{Ed004's Note - He also gives you the option of playing a 3 man backline during the game}

Ed004 have you opened up the Strootman debate from years ago! I remember when we were looking at him as LVG's big signing before he went to Roma and I thought he would be ideal but he divided opinion on here.
An injury free Strootman would be a good signing for me.

{Ed004's Note - Don't think there will be a debate this time though. We have had enough problems with injury prone players and I would be inclined to stay away from Strootman}
