The signing of Matic releases two of the best midfielders in the League and allows them to be more creative: Pogba and Herrera. It also allows the likes of Valencia and Shaw to sit a little higher which can help push opposition wingers back, getting us higher up the pitch. Whilst we get a little higher up the pitch (as we have the pace to beat an offside trap) we see Lukaku pushed higher, sitting on the shoulder of the defender. In doing so, this provides Pogba and Herrera more time and space on the ball to pick passes.

This one signing will transform our attacks. Very clever if you ask me.

Spot on Fresh, I think this is a fact that is lost on a lot of folks. I believe a 4-3-3 may be the best formation we will have and perhaps a 3-5-2 against the likes of RM and Citeh.

With Matic sitting deep, Pogba and Herrera will have alternating runs forward and as you mentioned, free will to pick a pass. Really gives the opposition Hobson's Choice.

Against two thirds of the teams in this league we shouldn't need a DM. It also means Miki doesn't play 10, his best position. I don't think Matic should start every game. Also the LB slot is up for grabs to anyone right now/.

Really looking forward to seeing Matic playing for us also. Prem proven knows how to win trophies and deal with top level pressure, not to mention trusted and known by the manager.
