A few positives from tonight and some more of the same.
Degea has lost none of his reflexes.
Matic played well
Fellaini did well
Scholes macca and gerrard all called it right imo. You will not win a league with a right winger playing right back and a right back playing left back. They will get exposed and offer little going forward against the elite teams.
All 3 said they can only name 7 sure starters for united then there is about 14 players at the ssme level and some of those have to step up to claim a regular starting place by giving big performances that mean they won't be dropped. Rash martial jessie shaw lindelof jones mata fellaini blind . None of those have captured a sure fire starting spot and the door is open for them to cement their place.
For me we need the right full backs they will bring balance to the team and allow other to get closer to lukaku who was isolated tonight as ibra was last year and rvp before him.

Saw in an earlier post about Reals shape and how they're full backs stayed out as wide as possible creating an out ball, an attacking threat whilst creating space for others. Think Valencia is capable but we need Shaw back and ready to fight for his place or Rose/ Bertrand again mentioned in earlier posts.
