We are some 3 weeks away from the Liverpool game. This will be the first game against the scousers we will enjoy hopefully as the bus be left in the car park. I personally hope we get a draw due to our weak defence. Do you guys hope for more?

I see no reason why we can't win it. Yes it's highly likely that we will concede a goal or two. Yet they have defensive injuries and the pressure will be huge on their players. A loss against us could cost them the league. I expect Ole to go all out for the win. It's not in his nature to expect anything less against Liverpool. Plus it really would ask a serious question of whether he should get the job full time if he can beat Liverpool.

All that being said, Liverpool will be very dangerous, they are in contention to win the league for the first time in 29 years for a good reason. They are a very good team this year and we will have to be at the races to beat them. But I feel we could.

I don't see City dropping too many points so Liverpool do need to win most of their games if they want to win the league, a few draws (which would be expected in a long season / title race) could derail them when normally they would be clear favourites with their current points tally. It will be interesting to see if they can cope with the pressure at the business end, the game at Old Trafford is absolutely massive for them and hopefully we can take something from them, I would be hoping for a win in current form.

Not taking the cups seriously could be a blessing for them as Ed has said in the past they are obsessed with winning the league and that is really Klopp's only objective, their squad isn't big enough to cope with all the competitions, for example we play Arsenal away tomorrow whilst they have a full weekend off before their midweek fixture, that can only be a huge help.

It would be interesting to see what happened if they did win it, whether they would try to improve the squad or be happy that they have finally got the monkey off their back and defend it like Leicester.

If the win the league, I would expect Liverpool to look to strengthen further for next season and push on .
It’s a totally different scenario to Leicester as they could’nt realistically go again to challenge the following season, whereas Liverpool are one of the big guns.

Yep, Liverpool are building for the future. They have the backing to compete at the top level, and winning the league would cement this. The biggest issue they’ll face is wage inflation as they’ll have to stump up bigger and bigger wages to keep their key players.

Early december- i would be happy getting a point ; i reality even scoring a goal wouldve been room for optimism- but now I don't see any reason why we can't beat them tbh. The players seem more content and if reports are right there is a buzz and belief around the club again with a firm plan of trying to play flowing attacking football. Regarding, liverpool winning the epl, still a way to go and they've bottled before- if they do pull it off to repeat/ sustain title winning form I reckon they might have a few recruitment issues to deal with along the way like most other clubs : the united fan is hoping city before them and if not just a mere 30 year blip;)

We need to get at them, we have momentumand hopefully will have built on that even more so let’s get at them. No shame in losing but if we do, let’s hold our heads high, attacking and trying to win.
