It seems like no one cares about Bailly anymore. Seems forgotton. I know he is rash but he was impressive for us when he played. I think he can genuinely go to world class bracket once he gets to play more. I believe Ole should play him more often with Lindelof on his side and let their partnership develop.

The problem is he can't stay fit.
And his rashness cost him red card and suspension in Ole's second match.
Injured during PSG's UCL clash.
He is having a nightmare at the moment.

The lad needs to find the confidence he had in his first season.

Personally can't ever seeing him make it as one the best defenders but he could be a great rotational CB.

He’s not forgotten but he’s often injured and Rash is an understatement. He may have potential but to say he could be world class is a stretch. Rumours of an attitude also surfaced last year so all in all I’m not sure he can be relied on. It looks like Lindelof plus a new one, and then everyone else is fighting to be back up.

It’s not that no one cares. everytime he has a run of five games he’ll either do something stupid and get sent off or he’ll get injured and will be out for 6 weeks.

Think he’s an okay defender but not don’t think he should be seen as potential anymore. He’s 25 he should be performing.

He’s not good enough. Not sure if the move to Valencia is true, but I think even that is a high level for his ability.

His injuries have disrupted his development, he has been unable to play enough football to remove the rashness from his game.

He isn't a youngster anymore, yet he still plays like a fresh 21 year old making his way into the first team.

He has pace and power, but lacks intelligence. Also there were rumours of a developing attitude last season (although if you believe the rumours everyone bar Mata and Herrera had a bad attitude last season) .

He needs regular game time and quickly if he is going to get his career back on track. If he can't stay fit then that won't happen with us or with anyone else.

He is currently injured and might not be fit for the start of the season. That in itself could scupper any potential transfer out of the club.

It was me in charge, I would sell Jones and Rojo this summer. Buy a new CB then loan out Tuanzebe back to Villa.

Then we would have the options of Lindelof, Smalling, Bailly and the new CB. With Tuanzebe out on loan.

Then readdress the situation in January, if Tuanzebe isn't getting enough game time then recall him and either sell or loan out Bailly. If Tuanzebe is doing well leave him at Villa until next summer the switch him with Tuanzebe.

Bailly is interesting. Like Matic he was a beast when he first came in board but struggled thereafter. If he can be tempered and kept fit then yes maybe he should be kept on the books but having said that we have enough CB’s with fitness issues and the concentration of a dog salivating over the prospect of a bone so maybe we need someone who is a decent football and can actually get on the park.

Problem with Bailly is his bad positioning often means he's making last ditch tackles, leading to injuries. He's not a cultured defender like Rio. We need modern type defenders who can think and read the game well.
Dias and de Ligt fit the bill. But we won't get either.

If we get Dias and Wan Bissaka our defensive problems are going to be solved in my opinion but midfield is another problem, Matic to me is done, no more legs, we need a very energetic defensive midfielder who can pass the ball and a very fast right winger as well. if pogba leaves then we need another creative midfielder. One thing is certain we are being run very badly right now.
