Hi everyone.
I am planning to visit Old Trafford next year to watch the Manchester derby.
I need some help regarding the purchase of tickets for the match.
The matchday VIP ticket is going to cost 450-650 pound, is it worth buying or should I try for a ticket through the membership route?
Also is there any other option for purchasing a ticket for that match.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

£650! Do you get a bucket of champagne served by this years Ms Boddingtons?

If you can’t get a ticket from the club do not buy the vip as they are a complete rip off. A ticket from a tout would be cheaper probably between £200-£250.

Normal ticket price is from pound 35 but you have to take the official membership of the club first and then there will a draw for the tickets for the man City game.
I am also thinking of taking the museum and stadium tour.
Are there some good places to visit in Manchester that can be covered in day?

The National Football Museum is a good place to while away an hour or two.

I've done the VIP package a few times and they are ok. I've only ever done the red cafe ones though. The meal is ok, there's always an ex player there, a quiz and stuff. The main advantage is the guarantee of a decent enough seat for a game you'd like to see.

I'm interested in doing a legends tour.

There's a few things in town to see. The Lowry maybe or the imperial war museum.

I know people who used work in the VIP area, half of them don’t even bother watching the game, just watch it on the tv in the lounge getting fat arsed.
