Please can we just go forward in time to the end of the transfer window. quite possibly the most infuriating, irritating and boring part of football.

Player A flirts with other clubs, Player B deciding about future but tweeting clues, feels trapped in a contract they agreed for £250k per week, Player C wants Out but doesn't have the balls to say so as they'll lose certain bonuses.

Can't stand it. Everything that is ugly about football right here. Can't wait to get it out of the way and just watch some matches.

I agree Eric, wish we could just get back into the season.

I also find during the transfer window this site gets quieter which sucks because it helps me get through those slow boring days at the office.

Agree Eric. It goes on far two long especially when most of the work is already done throughout the year. If it was up to Maze It would be a 2 week window mid June to the start of July and nip it in the bud.

But alas, the brainless and video game merchants who buy into the whole circus of the transfer market and gossip columns would cry into their chai lattes if that happened.

maze please explain how that "video game" comment of 2 weeks would make sense?

would you have 5 or 6 medicals done in 1 week

there is a reason its over the course currently as there is more to a transfer than just " yeah let's take him and sign" that and many more reasons.

Bolger yes a medical can be done in a couple of hours? In your head where are the medicals being conducted? On Mars?

We live in a interconnected society where you can monitor the global market without leaving your couch. You can catch a flight direct from the other side of the world in less than a day.

Name these others reasons? The bulk of signings and market sounding is completed during the season - some agreements likely already agreed in principle prior the season ending. Do tell?

well maze i think its highly doubtful you could get say for example 6 players signed in a week or 2 unless all the pre medical stuff is done weeks in advanced .

they first have to approach the club with whom the player they want plays for even speak to the agent to see if the player is interested whether that breaks some rules i dunno. then once the fee is agreed the association of the selling club has to then contact the ITMS (how long that takes i dunno)

i am then almost certain fifa or uefa who ever it is have to give the go ahead for the transfer to continue its process

then you have to get the itc from the selling club then sort the players registration as well as a medical personal terms agent terms ect.

i just think 2 weeks wouldn't be enough to get all the deals done in good time.

you might be right it might be able to be done but that would make the window to hectic teams both selling and buying wouldn't be sensible imo

but if your right and it could happen i will hold my hands up.

Bolger you will find that most of the clubs have contracted each other throughout the year not just in the summer months of the transfer window.

It could be done in 2 weeks in my opinion but that will then cause a lot of issues for external organisations trying to push their on interests.
