Well ed002 i know your travelling so perhaps you will get to this when you see it.
You have said you expect pogba to leave although united may foolishly price him out of a move.
OSG obviously has a good relationship with the player do you think that there is a possibility that he might convince pogba to stay and sign a new contract?
Or do you see pogba sticking to his guns and forcing his move if madrid come up with a suitable offer.?

{Ed002's Note - Pogba wants to leave. United can block that if they want - a remarkably stupid plan. I have no way of knowing if what plan the club has.}

I know its not exactly popular on here to do anything but criticise the decision makers at the club but i do have sympathy with them on pogba.

If no club is willing to pay their valuation for the player and they don't want to get in complicated exchange deals, would people be happy if they took a lower compromised fee in order to resolve this situation?

As things stand, pogba is the best outfield player at the club as well as the most marketable player for the clubs commercial department. Apart from an ill advised comment in asia, he hasn't been as toxic an influence on pre season training as most assumed he would be.

On the money imo.

At least he turned up 😁.

That's the issue for me DSG. If he wants out he will eventually say or do something that will spark up a hornets nest no doubt he will be provoked. If he does stay he needs better players around him to get the best out of him. Players that can take advantage of his strengths and cover his weaknesses.

I don’t have any sympathy.

We paid a ridiculously high fee for a player who joined us for the money, and would have went elsewhere if he had options.

The last manager explicitly told the board that the player was a key cause of disharmony in the dressing room. For the past two summers the player has been trying to engineer a move away, even saying it publicly. The club could actually get most or even all of what we paid for him back, but have placed a stupid price tag on him that no club will meet.

What is there to gain from keeping him, or looking for a fee that no one will offer?

We will be left with an already disruptive player that obviously doesn’t want to be at the club, whose value will only decrease.

If the club had any sense they would be working with Real and Juve to reach a compromise that let's everybody just move on.

Agree DSG. If Pogba stays, I believe he will have a good season.
Mainly because we have injected some serious pace already to the squad.
Pogba can play those precise long passes with willing runners such as AWB, Rash, Greenwood, Shaw, James.

However, iff he leaves, replace him with either Saul Niguez (if attainable) or SMS.

pogba and his agent especially should have been professional on going about leaving,

why the need to come out publicly the pair of them i get he wants to leave but don't act petty and try force the club to sell him we don't have to sell him

at the end of the day pogba has a contract so unless someone meets the valuation he needs to honor the paper he signed.

if someone wants to buy him then pay up otherwise he has to be a man and get his head down and play for the club he is contracted to.

{Ed002's Note - In what way were they not professional. The club has known for a year? I have explained it for the past year. You have an extremely naive view about the transfer process. You want sanchez to stay and honor his contract sucking vast sums of money out of the club, potentially blocking the recruitment of others? It is like some sort of horrible joke this sustained lack of understanding about the club and the business.}

Pogba wants out. Sell him. They've know for ages.

what if the offers are far below the value of pogba then surely we have no choice but to block the move? I don’t see it as the club blocking him from leaving it’s more that there is no club at the moment that could afford to buy him with current outlays they have made (Madrid) or do you think we should just get rid at any cost?

I agree Twenty. We have been so bad with not only transfers in but transfers out in the past with clubs getting very good deals from us, I like the stance the club are taking. If a club make an offer that is acceptable then there is business to be done. It sets the tone moving forward in the transfer windows. Fed up of getting mugged of by clubs buying from us and selling to us.

{Ed002's Note - Of course it is not like that. Think more headless jerks.}

Yeah let's sell the player for cheap because he doesn't want to be here.

Makes sense.

{Ed002's Note - Who has sugested this. The post simply re-inforces the point that you have little (or mor probably) no grasp at all about how tranfers work, and in particular how Manchester United works. Zippo.}
