Ok so if we are able to sign Eriksen (if we are even in for him) then as the Eds have suggested he would be a direct replacement for Pogba. Would that mean we might still pursue Fernandes? Although there is very little time left for it to happen now.

I actually believe Eriksen will be used as a no 10 with Pogba and McTominay behind.
Will be a top signing and is EPL proven.
Adds a lot of utilities to the team with his set piece and creativity.

I have a slightly sinking feeling that we're done with transfers now. Not from choice but more because of the manner in which the club has conducted business. My hope is that OGS has managed to get Pogba to turn a corner and play his heart out for us. My fear is somewhat different whereby he leaves after our window closes and we don't have a replacement. I think we can manage without replacing Lukaku were the same to happen. We still have today and tomorrow but time is now very limited. Squeaky bum time?

Do people actually believe we will sign eriksen? When was the last time a club started negotiations with Daniel Levy for one of his top players with less than 2 days to window close and actually got the player? This is bale 2.0 in making.

I'm still hopeful we can sign one more. Eriksen or Fernandes would be fantastic. It looks at the moment like Pogba is staying and easing the creative burden he has will help us massively.

Hopefully, we see a midfield of Pogba and McTominay with either of Eriksen or Fernandes alongside them. That would give us a good balance of physicality and technical ability. With the pace we have available ahead of them, we should be a far more creative side this season if this ended up happening.

TRD iirc and I might be wrong, but didn't the Berbatov saga go on for the whole window, it was only late that levy relented, here we are making a first attempt late in the window. And unlike berba whose first choice were utd, eriksen's are Madrid who have a lot more time to do this deal.

I don't see Pogba staying if Eriksen comes in. Eds have told us that Pogba wants to leave and Eriksen's signing would be the final nail in that coffin. But we will still be light in the MF. Hopefully we get both Eriksen and Fernandes in.

CSM, i agree that negotiating with Levy is tough but if they get Dybala/ Coutinho, Eriksen will be surplus and on his last year of the contract. That would be financially unfeasible for Spurs. But we can only guess at this time. Real obviously have a lot more time but are they interested in him?

Eriksen is not coming, no one is coming that clown Woodward has waited 2 months of the transfer window yet again. The most inept man in sport. Brace yourselves for the incoming season, new levels of mediocrity incoming. Yet fans actually slag pogba off for wanting away from this shambles.

Ed002 said we were working on Maguire and fernandes, they were our priorities. I think it will be fernandes or erikson, not both. If pogba is leaving, I thought milinkovic-savic was the option to replace him and maybe a replacement for lukaku.

People need to remember or search for what ed002 has said as the same questions over and over are getting really annoying for people that don't have to edit this site. Also, stop with the negativity, the window hasn't even closed yet and the season hasn't started.

darv mate that was from 3 weeks ago. Ed002 said it yesterday that if Eriksen comes in he is a replacement for Pogba. So obviously SMS want viable.
