Thought we showed a good strength and battling qualities yesterday, McTominay is the closest I've seen in our team to a Roy Keane in years, he could be our future captain enforcer if he keeps improving. He is now key to our performances. If we get a top class play maker and good solid central midfield to replace Pogba, when he goes, we are on track back to the top. If he stays push him up the pitch and try Fred with McTominay. Credit where it's due Ole is making things change.

For me if we persist with the 2 and 1 ahead it should be Mctominy first on the sheets with Fred/ Matic and push Pogba ahead.
Mctominy has the legs to be up and down as well as discipline to hold.
No one is saying he is a world beater but for what we are trying to do at the minute he is perfect.

Get a grip redconl. He gives 100% yes but he lacks quality. The whole team lacks quality.

I think it's obvious we're missing a No10/ second striker type player and a right sided winger/ forward.

When I think back to the best Utd teams over the last 25 years we've always had that hybrid second striker type player from Cantona to Yorke to Rooney somebody that could a bit drop deeper into midfield linking our attacking play and pulling the strings. We've always played with width making the pitch as big as possible creating space for players to run into and for our creative players to operate.

With James playing well from the left I wonder if Martial could drop a touch deeper and play that role with Rashford playing ahead of him. Martial is pretty effective at receiving the ball on the half turn, his touch is decent and he's a very good dribbler. If he could pick up the ball in the pockets of space and run with the ball committing defenders and creating space for Rashford to play on the shoulder it could be an effective partnership.

With James providing the width on the left and Pogba being able to provide those incisive forward passes and running from deep it could prove an effective tactic. Lingard, Mata and Pereria have been ineffective from that position so far and it might be something Ole could trial in the forthcoming Europa and League Cup games.

I also think we crucially lack width, penetration and defensive cover on the right. Lingard, Mata and Pereira have all been given ample opportunity from that position but all want to play centrally and merely congest the middle of the park leaving the team unbalanced and vulnerable defensively.

Surely it's time Greenwood is given his chance and it's also a position I think Dalot could be effective. He's fast, direct, skilful and a good crosser of the ball. He'd also provide good defensive cover for AWB and bring some crucial width and balance to the team.

It's a source of frustration to me that Ole has so far failed to find a solution to these obvious problems and has relied on the same players with predictable results. Maybe with more games in the next few weeks some players might get their chance and hopefully we can stumble across something that works a little better than we're seeing at the moment.

Credit when it's due.
Mctominay covered every blade of grass.
He has the right attitude and work ethic expected from a United player.
At the moment, he would be the first name on the team sheet.

Next season, I would love to see a midfield of Maddison, Saul and Mctominay.

I think were forgetting that we have Gomes which can play as a 10. I hope he gets a chance in the Europa league.

Going a bit far with the Keane comparison but I do know what you mean, he isn’t as good but he can do it all. I totally disagree with the person who said he lacks quality, I honestly don’t think he does at all and if we had signed him in the summer with a fancy foreign name everybody would be absolutely raving about him. He’s our most complete midfielder for me and it’s a bloody good job he has stepped up.

I think most of you are comparing a prime Keano with the current McSauce.

Keane worked under the best manager of all time.

Keanes stats at:
21: 54 games - 8 goals, 9 int games - 0 goals
22: 37 games - 3 goals, 8 int games - 1 goals

McSauce stat at:
21: 22 games - 2 goals, 5 int games - 0 goals
22: 5 games - 0 goals, 6 int games - 0 goals (so far)

That's pretty even to me.

Kevo it depends on what impact was made on those games looking at pure stays like that without context is pointless.
