I read Greenwood not in the squad for Westham. Surprised really, Martial is, injured, Rashford not scoring, surely you'd have the kid on the bench is we have to push for a goal in the last 15mins. Maybe has an injury.

The lads 17 years old and started his second senior game on Thursday night. Physically they will want to be careful not to push his body too much. If he hasn't finished growing they will need to be careful.

He might not be physically ready to play 180 or even 120 minutes of adults professional football in a space of 4 days.

Angel, people keep saying Lukaku needed replacing. Yet he was second/ third choice striker last season under Ole and that would have likely been the case this season as well.

Greenwood is second/ third choice striker under Ole so he has replaced Lukaku's role at the club.

You can question whether Martial and Rashford were ready to be relied on to score the goals needed, yet without giving them that opportunity you will never know.

Lukaku wanted to leave as he wasn't happy not being first choice, it would have been difficult to bring in another top level proven striker if they weren't sure they would be first choice.

If you're going to play a one striker system then two players who could be first choice and one highly talented youngster should be enough to get you through a season. Now its down to Martial and Rashford to justify the trust they have be shown. If they don't seize the chance than they will be replaced next summer, but at least they can say they were given a fair crack of the whip.

By the end of the season we will be sitting 6th again and will have to rely on this Kids for another season until they become the new Lingard.
