So City go 2-1 up with momentum and take off Jesus and go defensive, pep out?

There's a career in politics for all the Pro Ole fans. Nonsense arguments and stats to show that the man is doing an ok job, yet none of you replied under Kens post showing Ole's absolutely pathetic win percentage.

Spin that into a positive?

oop north in geordies back yard being saying all week that there isn't a better time to play citee than at the moment- 2-2 proves it.

Mumbles, perhaps we’re all bored with this. Everyone’s positions are pretty well known so not sure I feel the need to reiterate mine any more.

Absolutely, he should be gone by tomorrow. It's not like this pep nobody won the league by a record margin last season. What they need is a Cardiff legend to get them back to the top.

That would be judging a manager on a game by game basis gds2. Better to judge over 30 odd games.

But you can put your rod away you got to bite🤣.

Is 30 games enough to judge somebody on? Especially given all the set of circumstances that have to be taken into account.

Mort didn't we sack mourinho on the basis of 17 PL games last season?

CSM
He had lost the dressing room done to death. Amazing how many suddenly wanted Jose to stay. Everyone was calling for his head in the end.

Ole still has the backing of most of the squad. If that changes I'm sure he will have to go just like Jose and Poch did.

Are results the only way to judge a manager?

{Ed047's Note - ask Pochettino and Emery

Dodgy

EVERYONE was not calling for Mourinho’s head, I for one was not.

Shappy

No let’s judge it on the goals they score as former players instead and that warm feeling you get when watching reruns.

No they should be judged on the sales of pies at half time.

Not the only but ultimately its what all managers are judged on in the end.

Dodgy if that logic held true, lvg wouldn't have been sacked. He didn't lose the dressing room, yet he was sacked after the results did not go his way.

DB i agree with you there mate. Jose had to go in fact he should have resigned when the window closed and begore a ball was kicked. But he wanted a pay off so was never going to resign.
I also agree that ole has not lost the whole dressing room. Matic pogba aside the rest still appear to be trying.
I mean fred periera jessie jones mata young rojo are never thing to go against him he played them most other managers wouldn't and they know that I'm sure.
He has time the club have made that clear but unless things improve he will run out of time.

I know it's a cliché, but I think that result just shows there are no guaranteed easy games in this league anymore. Anyone on their day can get a result against anyone else in this league. The sooner we start to accept that, then the sooner we can make peace with the odd strange result.

Mort id say that's fair with the caveat that there are some consistent signs of improvement.
Like i said the decision makers are remaining patient i think the next block of 4 league games could be defining. All 4 are winnable but also we could lose 3.

If we came through with 2 wins and 2 draws it could be the start of some momentum ole desperately needs but hasn't been able to get going all season.
On the flip side i can equally see a win a draw and 2 defeats. If that happens does that sort of return which will leave us probably around 14th 15th after half a season, test the decision makers patience even more.

I see this block of games as an opportunity for him to build momentum but i also thought that of our last 6 against traditionally much weaker teams. But we toiled against them for the most part.

It could go either way over the next 4 matches. Once again opportunity knocks to gain some momentum and confidence. Home game in Europe to try and top the group and an easy cup quarter final alongside those league fixtures. This is perhaps the block of matches that turns their season around.

Dodgy, Red man is right he wasn't calling for José's head.

Of course he couldn't call for anything with his nose so far up José's backside he couldn't open his mouth 😂.
