Wonderful performances from the players and the manager. I didn't think he could pull two results out of the bag, but credit where credits due. The Spurs game we played well, not outstanding but we done more than enough and deserved the 3 points.

The City game, the first half was incredible. We could and should have been out of sight. The only problem with that performance was Lingard. He simply isn't good enough to be playing top level football. A proper No.10 in his place and we might start creating more.
I thought we sat back a bit too much in the second half but we defended really well.

Ole was staring at two incredibly difficult games that could have cost him his job if results went South. The reaction from the players was great to see. Even though I don't think he's good enough for the job, those results have probably bought him a couple of months at least.

Lay down a marker over the next 10 games and show everyone of the doubters that we're wrong. There's nowhere to hide anymore. Performances like Spurs and City should be the benchmark. Hopefully the penny has dropped with Ole and the players.

Let's kick on and have a wonderful festive period!

I thought Lingard was pretty decent last night. Agree that we need a proper No.10 though.

Also we were playing against City, can't keep playing at the first half tempo for 90 mins so we had to retreat in the 2nd half. We defended really well and were only undone by a set piece.

Can't find fault in the tactics.

Why must we find fault always. Lingard was excellent last night - as was the whole team.

I think when AWB and Shaw empty their pockets today, they’ll find Sterling and Silva in there.

AWB, My God, Nobody in the past 2 seasons have nullified Sterling as he did. Amazing defender.
The whole back line with blocks, interceptions, tackles and clearances. Top top performance.

I thought Lingard had a great game, he’s picked his game right up.

Really was a top performance and well done to Ole and the boys because I was not expecting to come out with 6 point from those two games. I actually thought Lingard was very good and his energy seems to work against the big sides. But yes we do need a bit more quality in that no 10 role. Let’s keep the momentum and the consistency and build a run.

Yes 2 great games in a week for Jesse but some people have made their minds up so it doesn’t matter what he does.

I just expect more from my number 10 than running. He offers very little on the ball. "Why must we focus on the negative" and then focuses on the one criticism in my post.

Anyways, really good week. Ole deserves a reprieve from the chopping block. The Everton game is now a huge one. We can't let our hard work over the last two games be for nothing. More of the same please.

Fantastic performance in first half. And defended well without threatening in second half. I wish we can retain the ball better when we're in the lead to put less pressure on ourselves. Hopefully, that will come with more maturity.
On Lingard he had two good games GDS, but let's not forget that in the past 9 months, he's been shocking. So 2 good games is not sufficient, we need him to carry on performing 8 out of 10 in every match.

gds he had a good half yesterday and 1.5 good games don't make up for being worse than a sunday league player for an entire year.
