ed01 do you think united are suffering like liverpool did when shankly left. on one of your replys you said they had to stop shankly comming round. i ask because sir alex left to spend more time with his wife. he is now at as many games as when he was manager. you have ole saying i want to install the fergie factor and calling him the boss. fergies time as come and gone football has moved on. untill we get a young forward thinking manager it will be my grandkids waiting 30 years for a title. or am i of the mark.

{Ed001's Note - it is more like when Busby left and just moved onto the board and kept interfering in team affairs. It was because of that example that Liverpool's board refused to even give Shanks tickets to sit in with the staff. It is the same now, Fergie needs to take a break from the club and let it grow without him. He needs to be a legend from the past, rather than a legend still there.

It is a shame but there is not the strength of character there to put him in the shade, Ferguson is too big and bold of a character, too strong in his opinions, to just become secondary.}

ED001 is Fergie actually having a say into how the club is being run then?

I just thought he was a spectator these days.

{Ed001's Note - he is still very much in the ear of the club's leadership, yes.}

Makes sense know. He is a legend, but surely the club must realise the game has moved forward and so has the way of thinking. They nes people who are up to date. Sounds like how a Corbyn Britain might have been.

thanks ed01.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate. It is understandable because who doesn't want advice from a legend? But that's all it should be, advice, not a plan to follow.}

{Ed001's Note - they will probably wait until crowds drop before a change happens.}

Surely if fergie had a say with the hierarchy he would have said get rid of pogba and keep Jose last season! He is pro manager and dislikes insubordinate players.
