I don't see the point in just buying for the sake of it, if the players are not available for the right price or the style of play then so be it.

We have tried short term fixes before and they never work out.

Although I do the think glazers are a part of the problem I don't see how as businessmen they would want to let the club rot and fall down on the pitch which will then lead to a financial fall.

The reaction to our club will always be excessive and be portrayed to be so much worse and although ole probably is not the correct manager he is getting rid of the deadwood and seems to be targeting the right players.

I really do think the glazers are financially reseting the club in terms of the over inflated wage bill.

BIG V - Just because money has been spent badly is not an excuse to stop spending or investing in the squad.

If Utd want to return to the top we need better players and players cost money and lots of it.

The Club need review and improve recruitment so the money is invested properly on the right players but make no mistake if we want to improve we'll have to spend and spend big!

Barcelona spent £145m on Courtinho and over £100m on Dembele but it didn't stop them from signing Greizmann because a few players hadn't worked out. Transfers can be hit and miss and I think we've also been guilty of holding onto players for far too long. If they don't perform move them on and try to find others that can.

Madrid have never been afraid to let players leave the Club they just buy new ones.

To be fair to Ole he is trying to rid the squad of players that have consistently under performed but the Club seem reluctant to move them on or replace them and Ole will likely lose his job. He's not stupid and will have known he needed replacements for Lukaku and Herrera. Maybe he took a long term view and he's been unlucky with injuries but he will have known he was in for a very hard season.

It seems to me players are viewed as investments and are judged not by their value to the playing squad rather assets of the Club.

Awarding new contracts to the likes of Rojo, Jones, Smalling etc is merely to protect their asset value and has nothing to do with their value to the team. What the Club don't seem to understand is a players value plummets when they don't play or are continually injured and their presence in the squad is of no value to the team. Nobody will buy them because their on insane wages. The players don't have to worry because even if they don't play they know they'll be offered a new contract to protect their value so the Club just ends up with lots of average players on sky high wages stealing a living.

The Club must appoint someone with some footballing experience and expertise to sort this madness out.

It's not buying for the sake in buying BIG V, the club said that they will buy players in January if the ones they want are available.
We know fernandes is available, ed002 has said saul from atletico is available for €100 million I think and apparently dembele is available at a certain price, injuries permitting at Lyon. That's 3 players we have interest in, and all possibly available.
If the club were really backing ole, they would stump up the cash for fernandes and the same with Saul as we are desperately in need of midfielders.
