Been watching a few videos online listing various pundits premier league top 5 players of all time and it got me thinking who would you say is uniteds most underrated player of the Premier league era?

For me it's Denis irwin, solid, consistent, up and down all game, could cross, could defend one on one he was just mister dependable. Think we just expected his performances each week and so never rated him as high as we should. He never gets a mention against Ashley Cole, gnev etc in premier league all time sides but he should. Denis irwin was integral to our success and deserves more praise than he gets.

That's a great shout, I can't think of a more unsung hero than Dennis irwin a true professional.

I only saw him have 1 bad game which was against Overmars at Highbury, not bad for over 10 years. Best left back no questions but wouldn’t have him in my best Utd side at left back i’d put him right back so I can squeeze Evra in at left back.

Carricks a great shout also. Hardly ever gets a mention by any of the pundits when the top prem midfielders get named. Really made us tick and we only realised how good he was when he was out of the team. Top pro also.

Absolutely Tony. You don't have to be a great player to be underrated.

Based on the fact that not even his mother rated Djemba-Djemba, he absolutely had the be a better player than most gave him credit for. Ergo he is underrated 😂.
