Hi ed001. Just want to say your player profiles are fantastic, keep up the good work.

Do you think the art of journalism is dead? I don't know if 24 hour sports news or digital age has watered down content so much that it is just poor nowadays.

Especially over the last decade or so, jouranislts, pundits or anyone commenting on the game very rarely talks about what happens on the pitch. It's always a two page spread on the theatrics off it.

Which leads me onto another point about journalists. Just take the ones linking Mbappe to Liverpool for example. Now ed002 has said that's not going to happen. Can't read a paper or click on a football news site without it constantly being reported. Are journalists reporting on what they may hear or are they just spouting nonsense to get clicks?

This is why this site is wonderful. Your articles, ed002s insights, all the other eds saying it how they see it. It's a weird little family and I wouldn't change it for the world.

{Ed001's Note - first off thank you.

Secondly it is certainly in real trouble, as it is all clickbait for the most money these days, rather than the truth for the sake of telling the story. Journalists etc should simply be telling you true stories, in effect, but they now are fiction writers making stuff up to get maximum exposure.

Really glad you like what we do. It is doing what we believe in, rather than what will make us rich!}

{Ed002's Note - Thanks to you for hanging on as well.)

Have to agree with the above - this site is great and really appreciate the effort you guys (ed's and all contributors) put into it.

I rarely read "news" (sport and general) any more - mainly because I really just want to know what happened and without having to read someones opinion, opinions taint the reality. The internet has allowed everyone to voice an opinion, whether people should hear it or not.

I think the major downfall of most current journalism is their writing skill level is that of a secondary/ high school student and more fitting to a blog post than a degree qualified journalist at a major (or any) publication.

I echo the words of members above.
I bet Eds must get fed up on some days having to either confirm or mostly debunk rumors we read from tabloids.
Keep up the good work guys, we appreciate it.
