Anyone think Utd are training for the FA Cup and Europa really?

In comparison to the state of a lot of returning players, we look like we actually have games to play.

Why? If City’s van is upheld, even for only 1 year, then 5th gets ECL, and we are only 3 points behind 4th. I think we will see some big moves both up and down.

I think due to the nature of how the return is proposed we will be focusing on the league games first as all cup games are planned for August.

If we can pick up our form from where it was when the break happened then we stand a good chance of getting top 4.

However, while we have been able to get players like Rashford and Pogba back from injury so everyone else has also managed to get their injured players back. For example before the break our next game was against a Spurs side with no Kane or Son.

It will be interesting to see how the return works.

The Fa Cup final is scheduled for August 1st I believe. Would be delighted if we can get to finals of both competitions.

Damon I'd be delighted if we got to the final of either. As much as I love winning the FA cup I think I would prefer for us to win the Europa League just for the guaranteed qualification to next season's UCL.

Although ideally I would rather we qualified by finishing 4th or higher. I certainly don't want to be relying on a court case for another club to go in our favour in order to get UCL qualification.

Exactly I agree. Top 4 with a trophy or two would be a fantastic finish to the season. Trophies is what gets u going and it seems a very long time ago we won the Europa League in 2017. It seems a lot longer than it is when you go a couple of seasons without a trophy. Quite a lot of young players in this squad and it can only be good for them to get a trophy under their belts.
