The performance last night rightfully getting all the plaudits. Greenwood shaping up as an incredible talent. Matic another solid performance and everyone will naturally wax lyrical about Fernandes and Pogba's play.

I thought Fernandes post match interview was first rate though. Real team player quick to focus on the merits of other squad members and deflect from the 'Bruno and Paul Show' leading question. Very classy. Another sign of how he's impacted the squad and looks to have given everyone a life.

Time will tell whether he has a Cantona style impact on the club but as has been mentioned elsewhere. Bruno feels a signing that's significant not just for his playing prowess though already.

There will be ups and downs. And the drop off when some of those squad players are utilised is noticeable. However we look to have a good platform to build from and hopefully we can keep it up.

We know all the games are must win now and may still end up missing out on Champions League unless Chelsea, Leicester and Wolves drop points. We'd surely have been sitting pretty in 3rd or better though already though if Bruno had been signed in the summer.

Interesting times ahead hopefully though I expect our summer transfers will be very limited when we know we need to add quality to that overall squad.

Maguire was getting a bit of stick the other week but I think he is playing Welland has done well since he joined.

Maguire has made a very positive impact on the team squad defence and club. In a very understated way. Not perfect but nor were any before him. I think he will improve as time goes on.
Name me a cb that doesn't cost his team a goal occasionally.

Agreed Ken, he’s brought a lot more to the squad than what he shows on the pitch. For someone to take over the captaincy like he has, shows some balls. I mentioned this when he was signed. In the World Cup with England, he looked like one of the leaders in the dressing room. Add Fernandes to that and we’re heading in the right direction.

We have lacked leaders over the last few years, suddenly you can point to numerous players stepping up and taking responsibility. Heartening to see and hopefully here to stay.
