Seen a piece on bailey, with the prices quoted he’s got to be an alternative to sancho? Been mentioned he plays primarily on the left but I always assume with him being left footed he’d be a good option on the right. I know havertz perhaps has played that role this season but the season before I saw him plenty on the right.

Leon Bailey seems a good young player from what I've seen. He has mainly played on the left this season, but made his breakthrough on the right so can play there.

He’s at the age where although he’d warrant playing time I still see greenwood getting game time on the right, as well as the fact well most likely see greenwood cover CF too.

RedWhiskey, I think if we miss out on Sancho we need to be clever about who we look to bring in. I genuinely feel Greenwood might make a big step towards locking down the RW position next season. If we go for a "big name" signing and they don't hit the ground running then we could end up with an expensive signing struggle to get game time.

I like Chiesa, he looks a great player, but I do worry about Italians moving outside of Serie A. While Ferran Torres also looks a great young player, but has his eyes firmly fixed on the big two in Spain. So how long would he stay for if he signed. Both are great Sancho alternatives but would still cost a huge amount.

Someone I'd seriously consider is Emi Buendía, he's had a great season at Norwich, who will be relegated so he shouldn't cost a bomb. He is EPL proven, young enough to continue to improve, and if he signed and Greenwood kept him out of the team I don't think he would kick off or be an expensive flop.

Shappy I get your point about Emi Beundia, and I agree he’s a good footballer, but he’s nothing special and he’s not good enough for United. Granted he has created a lot of chances, but he’s scored fewer goals this season than Lingard. If we had to take a punt on a player like Beundia I’d rather we signed Cantwell or Brooks. Certainly Cantwell was by far better than Beundia the other night in the FA Cup, and he has been most games I’ve watched Norwich this season, though I’ve not done so particularly often.

Willian on a free is a no brainer i would take him for the right all day long and then buy koulbaly and a decent left back and were sorted.

Buendia has the assists but rarely ever looks like scoring.

Buendía is still underrated by many. I think he is one of those players who will move to a better side and light it up and suddenly everyone will be saying what a signing he was and how others missed out on him.

Only one player in Europe's top five leagues has played more successful through balls than Buendía (10), and that is Messi with 11.

He has created the most goal scoring chances of any player under 23 in the league. While only KdB and Mahrez have created more out of everyone in the league.

He is also in the top five for tackles, pressures in the final third, passes in the opposition penalty box and expected assists.

All this while playing for officially the worst team in the league.

He works hard, he presses, he wins the ball and once he does he creates bucket loads of chances for his team mates. In a better team he would likely be the top assist provider in the league. Yes he doesn't score many (or any so far) .

Yet we have Rashford, Martial and Greenwood who have as many EPL goals between them as Mane, Salah and Firmino (51). While Pogba and Bruno chip in with a fair few goals across the season as well. What we really need is a top level creator, someone who'll provide the ammunition for our players, and EMI Buendía has proven himself to be one of the best in the league.
