Var is here now one season. And it's here to stay. So how do they improve it cause it does my head in. If your toe or nose is offside surely the attacker has to get favoured here.
For other decisions if they can't call it within say 90 secs or 2 minutes then throw it out.
Something has to improve with var next season.

Offside make the line thicker, if it was 6 inch that's how far off side you would need to be .

Also, count ball playing body parts only. So if your elbow is offside, but your feet and head aren't, then you aren't offside.

They have to look at the rules. Technology great, the rules, crap.

They brought most of these rules into to help linesmen and referees pre-VAR. Now we have VAR, we should revert back to some of the older laws of the game, particularly regarding offsides and handballs.

The phrase is “clear and obvious error”. If it needs 15 replays and 5 minutes then it isn’t clear and obvious. It’s there for the bad decisions, not the 2mm of toe that it is currently picking up. And some of the decisions appear wrong, even after they’ve watched a bunch of replays.

True angel this handball when the ball is blasted at a player from 1yard is a joke. Surely the referee should decide whether it's ball to hand or hand to ball.

Change the law to read if any part of you is onside then your deemed onside. So there had to be clear daylight beteeen the players to be offside. Favours the attacking team and helps the lino. More goals for sure.

Scrap VAR and replace with DRS as what's used in cricket.

AJH exactly what I would say. "Clear and obvious error".

Each VAR review should be 1minute max. If you can't pick it up after a minute it's not clear and obvious.

RedD - that is the rule hence all the arguments about armpits being offside.

The technology is excellent, the EPL is absolutely butchering its introduction. As for 'clear and obvious', that only applies to subjective decisions. Offaide is a binary, objective decision - hence the mm perfect impression.

As for improving it two things -

Let referees look at the screen.

Set a time limit, no decision within x minutes (2?) = on-field decision stands.
