Football is finished that was never a penalty and VAR is as about as much use as a chocolate teapot that is a disgusting decision
And fernandez cheated he went down as if his ankle broke
THATSCHEATING.

{Ed047's Note - 100% Gola, Moss is a clown

What is the point of var
The ref made a bad decision I understand that it can happening when players are cheating
But VAR should then say its not a penalty if it isn't he turned threw his foot at defender and then dived
This clear and obvious bs is ruining it
If it isn't it isn't full ffing stop.

{Ed047's Note - it’s shocking mate, VAR should have said to Moss it’s an error explaining exactly what happened and booked Fernandez for diving!

What are they scared of ed
In any other sport if it isn't it is over turned if the ref or umpire get it wrong they just say sorry you got that wrong and overrule it
No one says that ref or umpire is a clown for getting it wrong they understand human error and that is the point in video replays
But not in football ffing ridiculous
It annoys me more than before as we now have the tech to overrule but don't it's the biggest waste of money and tim
Giroud scored a goal for Chelsea and after var was ruled offside by a big toe and wasn't flagged offside but the goal was ruled out
So the ref and linesman got that wrong but it was overturned but when it's a blatant dive sorry we can't overrule the ref on that one as it isn't clear and obvious what a ffing joke when clearly is
FOOTBALL IS FINISHED VAR IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE IN WORLD SPORT IF YOU DON'T USE IT TO OVERULE
THEN THERE IS NO FFING POINT TO IT
rant over.

{Ed047's Note - it’s run by refs who don’t want to point out each other’s mistakes.

Think FIFA are supposed to be stepping in and taking it out of their hands as it’s an absolute farce.

Lads 100% not a pen. But 100% not a dive. He jumped turned and landed on the defenders leg it was a free the other way perhaps but 100% not a dive. The one bruno won and var took away a couple of weeks ago was more of a dive.

{Ed047's Note - yes maybe I was a bit harsh Ken, it’s just frustrating across the board how bad VAR is.

Cracking goal by Greenwood though!

Thank god lol
That Greenwood is going to be a good player just hope they don't over hype him like rashford as I think he's so overatted
Thanks for calming me down ed.

Leonard if you think that's a pen then you don't understand football mate
My argument is with var not your team or ref.

I know mate VAR has been a constant issue this year. I was caught up in the Greenwood magic when I posted that!

It was play acting from Bruno.

He literally rolled around on the floor clutching the ankle that he used to stamp on the villa player. until the pen was given.

Thank you jordz my point is surely var can see that.

{Ed047's Note - they absolutely must have because they’d have to be blind not too!

They’ve started VAR with a lot of poor rules and been stuck with it and the refs not wanting to make each other look bad.

That’s why it’s got to be taken away from the PGMOL and some of the ridiculous rules binned.

Agreed
Arsenal the other night another example why did ref have to go to monitor it was Keane on haaland all over again lol.

{Ed047's Note - 🤣 I thought it was harsh on Nketiah to be honest and when you look at the challenge by Ndombele earlier for Spurs, why did he only get a yellow?

It's ruined the game considerably for me. I can't take it seriously anymore.

Didn't see either of you on your soapbox last week when we had a penalty given against us for 'handball'?

Lol we need var to sort out our differences Ed.

{Ed047's Note - defo mate and you just have to ignore little Red Rosie 🤦‍♂️🤣

May be i have my rose tinted glasses on!

Definitely one of the softest of pens, but on a side note, when a player nutmegs opponent and runs into his body and falls, doesn't that count as a foul even if there is no intention of malice there? and if it happens in the box, then it is a penalty. My point is intent which disturbs the direction in general is under the Refs purview to make a decision. It can be affirmed with Baily's case last week as well, where it hit him in his deltoids, yet was given.

Can't this be a case of the same yesterday? When fernandes does a 360, the ball isn't available to Konsa, but his foot doesn't allow Fernandes to place his foot on the ground and thus disbalances him and obviously knowing where he is, he does play acting (who doesn't when there is a chance of penalty? )

So, no way its a foul committed by Fernandes for me. Now, i have been skeptical of VAR always and feel many tiniest margin decisions have gone in favour of big teams always (it was the same case yesterday as well), But atleast it provides some avenue of turning earlier blatant calls made by refs in the games.

Although a long way to go, it is still a positive direction football moved into.

Your stretching there surz comparing a nutmegs and obstruction to what happened last night with Fernandes.

They've come out and said they got the decision wrong. It wasn't just Fernandes decision that they have admitted where wrong but also Southampton pen and Kane not being awarded a pen. Clearly a problem with VAR.

It was clever play by Fernandes but the rolling round holding the ankle when he didn't get kicked needs to stop or he will get singled out next season. It happens to all the top players, Suarez, Kane, Salah etc refs get skeptical when they see them go down the way they do.
