Check out Greenwood’s goals per minute, second only to Aguero’s this season, the boy is some talent.

Greenwood is just one of those special talents. The power he got on his goal against Villa with his "weaker" foot is just ridiculous.

He really could be a Balon d'Or winner, and I can see him and Mbappe possibly fighting it out for it on more than one occasion.

His balance, pace, and fantastic technique with BOTH feet. He needs to keep his head down, stay humble and keep working on his game. If he can have Ronaldo's dedication to improving his game he could even surpass Ronaldo.

But that is a long way off. Let's just enjoy him and see what happens.

Fearless.

I've never seen a player so good with either foot.

Can anyone name anyone who at his age was so good with both feet?

10 Jul 2020 22:45:40
Yeah, George Best.

4.) 11 Jul 2020
10 Jul 2020 23:25:14
Patrick if he’s half as good as Georgie then my god what a player we have.

5.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 00:06:58
Messi Maradona Pele
Ffs really he's had 2 good games against relegation fodder
And he's a balloon dor winner lsughable, being compared to mbappe because he scored against villa and who else is hilarious.

Brazilian Ronaldo was lethal.

11 Jul 2020 00:57:24
gg you will be putting that american lad in the list next. he has a couple of good games and according to you lot he is better than hazzard. you are better of hopping the foxes do not take your place in the top 4.

8.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 01:07:26
Gola you are already obsessed with him mate. Is it because your “generational talents” such as Hudson Odoi have been very average this year? Maybe you’re just worried about Kepa facing such a top quality finisher? The kids going to be an absolute star, and I’ve not seen a united forward playing this exciting since we signed Rooney. Let’s see where he ends up, I think for sure he will end up a world class player. Regardless of who he played for this kid just has everything that points to him being world class.

GG's got a bad case of the green eyed monster. I'd absolutely love it if Greenwood gets his first senior hat-trick against "relegation fodder" in the next round of the FA cup🤣.

10.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 08:28:17
He’s having a good spell but then so did Januzaj and look how that went? He needs to keep working, feet on the ground, and see where it takes him.

Rashford burst onto the scene and whilst I love him, he is hot and cold and needs to find that level of consistency that to players have. Greenwood has had probably a bigger impact bu the kid is 18, let’s appreciate and celebrate him but let’s not get carried away.

11.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 09:04:43
I have every confidence Greenwood is going to be world class but I think GG has a point. Feet on the ground and let him develop his game not his ego. Take us forward Mr Greenwood. He has the 'potential'.

12.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 09:13:31
Important to not get carried away but perfectly normal/ acceptable to be excited about a player like this. He reminds me so much of RVP but with A right foot equally as devastating. Mbappe is a WC winner already and any comparisons are just unfair on Greenwood. Sit back and enjoy is my advice, let’s see how far this young man can go.

13.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 09:17:04
Greenwood is a talented lad and has been handled very well by the club and ole . which is in contrast to all the no path way for the youth post .
Last summer there was a lot of post about it was to early for him we had to buy mandukic etc . So credit to ole .
But also 3 weeks ago plenty moaned about our weak attack etc, now greenwood after 3 very good games is up there with mbappe.

14.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 09:29:22
No one knows where Greenwood will get to, however GG misses the point and perhaps wishes to deny seeing the talent, else why come on the United forum. It isn’t who it is against, it is the study of ability of the individual, it’s what scouts do.

I don’t think Cristiano is the right comparison, Greenwood at 18 is different to him. Ronaldo had quicker feet, more energy and moves when running with the ball. It’s the Brazilian Ronaldo he reminds me of, the smooth running and shimmy he uses, the silky but powerful way he hits the ball and finishing.

Greenwood has real serious talent, so did Rooney and GIggs at the same age, yet only Cristiano took the next step to greatness, Up to Greenwood but goodness me he has potential to be a great.

11 Jul 2020 10:11:18
Rooney and Giggs weren't football greats? Are you kidding Redman?

16.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 11:10:52
Ronaldo became one of the greatest players in the game sure but let’s not dumb down the achievement of Giggs. He’s won the most Premier League titles which makes him the greatest player of that league. And before I get the he’s not won a World Cup etc I’m talking about his achievements in the Prem. Not suggesting he’s better than Ronaldo, Messi etc. But his record 13 Premier League titles shouldn’t be so easily dismissed. Especially by one of our own.

11 Jul 2020 11:21:03
JRed I appreciate people may be going overboard about Greenwood but Christ man isn’t that what football is all about? The excitement of seeing such obvious talent and the dream of what it may blossom into. We have had naff all such moments for quite sometime. No he’s not the Messiah. Turned out one of my early United loves Frank Stapleton wasn’t either when he signed for us in the early 80s but by God I still loved him lol. The reason why everyone is drooling over Greenwood is he’s every United fan’s dream coming true. Just like Rashford before him, a United fan and Academy grad, a northerner with us since he was a boy. Doing the very thing we all dreamed of as kids - playing and scoring for United. Let’s enjoy the excitement whilst it’s here. There will be plenty of missed chances, bad luck, poor results etc we can moan at sometime around the corner I’m sure.

18.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 11:53:25
Gianfranco gola sounds a little sour. Greenwood is going to be great. You forget mbappe who everyone raves about is plying his trade in a lesser league. He’s done well in Europe and internationally but it’s swings and roundabouts.

Gola is just a bit butt hurt because he’s a united player and nobody agrees that pulisic is better.

{Ed002's Note - Mbappe was a Chelsea reject.}

19.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 11:56:05
To be fair jred you were calling for united to sign harry kane a couple of month ago which would have blocked greenwood more than a older striker than mandzucic but each to their own.

20.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 11:59:00
Rooney and giggs are not only united greats but football greats.
Is giggs not the most decorated player ever in brittish football history?
Rooney top united scorer of all time and England plus he won pretty much every major club honour over and over again.
They are football greats.

21.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 12:39:29
Ken
Lol, I said I would like to see kane in a united shirt.
I would like to see messi in a united shirt but we won't sign him .

People were adamant it was to early for greenwood, to much pressure we needed a old head .
Credit to ole tho, martial rash and greenwood look the business . Mandukic has just terminated his contract with a Saudi club i think .

I would still like to see another attacking player, sancho would be great so would kane . We won't sign kane tho .
But it certainly wouldn't be to replace greenwood .

Greenwood is producing the performances now because like the team he has been given time to develop . All the people who want instant success should remember that . The team is coming together because its been given time . Half the people on here would of sacked the manager and sold half the team months ago.

22.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 14:17:51
Lol ken. I can hear you singing from here.

23.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 14:34:33
No you said i hope united sign kane after reading a report and asked ed002 was there any truth in it.
I agreed with you i would have liked to have signed him at that time too.
I don't know who would have supported signing mandzucic i was hoping for cavaini at that time. But ole got ighalo to fill the role. Been a good choice. Has done well. It was obvious to the coach that experienced back up was required. Most could see that but each to their own.
I would have sacked ole 6 months ago for sure. To his credit since bruno signed everybody else has played much better and it looks like he will achieve the minimum requirement set out at the beginning of the season which didn't look likely at xmas so a really good upturn in form. The team is on fire at the moment long may it last.

Sing when you're winning angel. a real trait of the sad.

Jreds been a breath of fresh air. He changes his tune every couple of months.

11 Jul 2020 14:58:28
Sing ken and angel .
Its a full house.
I think we need an attacker i hope its sancho .
But that doesn't mean it has to be at the expense of greenwood, won't see any post from me saying that .

As for the latest sing when your wining crack that your wee group are sticking to 😂😂. the site is a poor read imo when we draw or get beat just the same old people moaning and complaining about the same things .

Greenwood is producing the performances now because like the team he has been given time to develop . All the people who want instant success should remember that . The team is coming together because its been given time . Half the people on here would of sacked the manager and sold half the team months ago.

That's a very astute observation singh.

28.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 15:36:44
Id still sack the manager and get rid of players if we want to reach the top because we ain't winning the league or the champions league with Ole in charge no matter how much extra mint chewingum is in the air for you and your breath. 😆.

29.) 11 Jul 2020
11 Jul 2020 15:51:18
Jred, get off your high horse. The page is always going to be a reflection of our form. Everyone has been complimentary of our football and the manager but you've turned it personal.

Speaking like you're some sort of clairvoyant that can see the future. Ole had us playing the worst football in decades, with the worst run and win percentage of any Man Utd manager. You stuck to your guns and somehow think you're superior to fans that dare question Oles credentials.

The site over the last while has been a very good read. The Live chat has been particularly fun. Everyone chipping in, some great conversations. But you come on to insult me and Red Man. The last game I tried to have a chat with you and you ignored me twice.

There's always going to be a difference of opinion but we're all just names on a server.

We're all happy we're winning. Enjoy it because it can turn on a dime.

As to GIggs and Rooney, I am talking about all time greats. Great is an overused word and for United, sure, both were greats for different reasons. I doubt anyone would ever end up with all GIggs medals, including 13 Championships and perform at such a level, so consistently over so many years. I saw his debut as I did with Rooney and Ronaldo.

The point I am making is that both Rooney and GIggs had the talent to take the next step and be regarded as one of the all time greats, yet they didn’t quite take that last step, to the level of Cristiano. When people talk about all time greats, Pele, Cruyff, Maradona, Messi and Ronaldo they could have added Rooney and GIggs if they had taken the next step, but it didn’t happen. Supported, enjoyed both careers and both are legends and greats of United but not all time football Greats.

As to Jred. Greenwood is performing because he has talent and talent does come through. To be brutal we have played the relegation threatened teams recently and played well, but we should expect that level. Seems like the told you so element, who accused others of doing “told you so” are out saying “told you so”, Ole is back to being the promised one. What I see is that we are in fifth, still with a lot to do, we have a chance in both cups, both will not be easy, nor will getting top four. A run of good results is like sunny weather, everyone thinks it will last forever. I hope we get top four, I hope we win something, but we used to sing blue moon back to City, you started singing too soon, some on here think it is a forgone conclusion, I still have my fingers crossed. As Mumbles said it can turn on a dime on a decision or an injury. Enjoy the results but be realistic and stop the glory shouts too early.

I get you on Rooney and giggs redman. They won't be mentioned in the same class as the likes of pele messi ronaldo cruyff etc but few are. Its a personal thing. i'd have those guys in the 'greatest ever' bracket and the likes of rooney maldini giggs rio platini xavi inneasta etc in the 'great' player bracket.

33.) 11 Jul 2020

We may argue about the nitty gritty Jred but we all want the same thing mate.

Jola is right. Two good games against relegation fodders means nothing. Hos teams genaration talents play well week in week out like today.
