Martial is winning me over.
Tremendous change in attitude.

He is now bullying CB's, chasing lost balls, showing some real passion and aggression.

His ball control and link up play are excellent.

We really need to get the RW sorted. Most of our attacks are coming through the left, therefore need another outlet on the right to keep opposition guessing.
I'd still go for Sancho as he can play left or right and has plenty of trickery in his locker.

A run of games? He needed a huge change in attitude. He is working harder covering more grind making more runs etc.
Every single exoert that comments on him is lauding him for trying harder and turning it around.
He is doing well its a shame it took 5 years for the penny to drop that if you want to be a good player them you need to work hard.
I still commend him and the coach for finding a way of working.
Lots of talent its been a cases of poor application for too long.

Shame his development had to be held back by Mourinho, a coach with little or no interest in attacking football or developing young players. Amazing the difference it makes to play in his favourite position in an attacking team with creativity and movement around him.

A msnager that backs you and a sustained run of games to get fully match sharp, fit, confidence and a understanding with your team mates .
No one has give him more stick than you, as you have said in the past you can't stand him .
But the lads a top talent who has always improved with a run of games .
Its no surprise to many how well he is playing, has all the attributes to be a top player.

As you said you can only judge a player on what he has done not on what he might do our hasn't done.
Martial was not trying as hard as he is now.
If you can't see that then your blind and deaf because everybody is saying it including the manager.
He needed to earn the right to that run of games. Ole wanted to sell him initially but looks like he has knuckled down and worked hard enough to win the manager over.
As a result of his change in attitude and performance he is now probably a guaranteed starter.
Ole tried others there before mnartial and they have not done as well so fair play to him for getting this run going.
Only time will tell if he sustains it. If he does, great, there will be plenty of time for me to dislike him when he is gone or perhaps he will turn my opinion of him around overtime.
Makes me wonder where you wanted to play harry kane when you were calling for united to sign him some months back.
Would you still want to sign harry kane now that martial has hit a hot streak? If you thought martial was capable of outscoring kane why did you want to buy kane? Do you think he is better? Or did you want to rotate them?

I think the fact that both rashford and martials performance levels have improved considerably puts doubt on the notion that it was martials attitude holding back or that he didn't smile enough.

Can anyone really say rashfords attitude was poor under the previous regime? No but he is a much better player now under ole than he was then.

People underestimate the impact the signing of sanchez and his continued selection, despite his abject performances, had on martial and rashford.

Martial was a 9 playing on the wing, but he has shown the talent he has, even if you couldn't see it. Was actually playing really well under jose before he was dropped for sanchez?
Has always scored goals and played well after a run of games .

Maybe been played regularly as centre forward and having the confidence of the manager has something to do with it, as opposed to having a manager who's only interested in centre forwards who are 6 feet 4 or over and immobile.
We spent a fortune under Jose on the likes of Sanchez and Lukaku and all it did was hold back Martial and Rashford from showing their true potential.

Kane is definitely one of the best strikers in the world ( even if he hasn't won anything ) and could 100% play as a second striker . Creatively he is very good can find a pass. D yorke T Sheringham have a look at the role and position they played if it helps.

I've never said different, I wanted jose but it became obvious it wasn't working out .
I disagreed with shaps about jose but he was right, he really didn't want jose fir various reasons, most of which proved to be right .
I'm not sure I wanted jose out but I thought it was obvious he was going to get the sack and it wasn't working
