Last night's match was a good dose of reality. Outside of our first choice 11, we really don't have many who can change the course of a match. I firmly believe that we need to strengthen in several positions: central defence (not nearly enough aggression), left back (Luke Shaw is merely decent but is so unadventurous), right wing and centre forward.

You are right we do need to strengthen. Fernandes has shown us the required standard of players needed to be successful.
I am a bit torn as I think Ole does know what is needed at the club
Thus season as a whole has seen an improvement in results and the standard of play has improved. Some of the younger players need a couple of seasons to fully realise their potential ( Mctominay, Williams Greenwood and Garner) The DDG position will resolve itself as will the defence issue.

I do think Ole knows what is needed at the club too and in my eyes we are progressing, now I know we are not at Liverpool/ City level yet but we are certainly progressing. I hope we beat West Ham by 2 or more goals so we can play with Leicester desperation the last game, If we get top 4 I wouldn't be mad if we don't win the Europa League, I think OLe will get the transfers right and the team will have more depth next season, first time I'm feeling optimistic about an upcoming season in 7 years lol, let's see how we do.
